I was wanting him with the Port pick 3 weeks ago. Now hes skyrocketed into a potential top 3 pick by the end of the season.

I have not seen him play a whole lot but the guy is just a winner I think is the best way to sum him up.

Last night the college analyst that I respect the most (Dickie V.) compared Oladipo to college age Micheal Jordan. I would have been like yeah right if that had come from anyone else. Dickie V. saying so has me intrigued.

I can't wait to see Oladipo in the tournament next month. The same thing for McLemore, Muhammad, Smart, and Bennett. Going into the season I had Michigan to win it all but I'm not so sure anymore. It's been a lot of parity in the NCAA lately.

This morning on Mike and Mike, Tom Crean said he had Dwyane Wade type qualities (coached Wade)

Why? He overrates almost every college star at the draft.
Humble yourself.

Oladipo is a workman type player. He's very fundamentally sound in all facets of the game but nothing really stands out to me. So I have a hard time envisioning him dominate a game at the next level where the players are just so much more athletic. It's hard for me to think of a comp but he's definitely no Michael Jordan. I know Chad Ford has him going at pick 10 but I bet he falls out of the top 10, not far out of the top 10 but within reach of the POR pick. We'll see.

I disagree, he's been good enough to be about a late-lottery/mid 1st round guy for most of the year, but with his latest surge I'd be surprised if he fell beyond 10. I think he's a much better prospect than Waiters, for instance, who was of course a reach but if he can go 4th certainly Oladipo can as well.

Chad Ford in his chat today

Yes. He's moved into the Top 5 on our Big Board and for the first time, I've had a couple of GMs tell me that they like him more than Ben McLemore. They are in the minority right now ... but still. What a rise. In all my years of covering the draft, I've never seen a player improve as much as I've seen him improve in such a small period of time. He has weaknesses, but major, major upside. If he continues to improve, I don't think it's out of the question he could be the No. 1 pick in June. He's not there yet, but he's special.

olapido looks like a cross between MKG and hendo, both good and bad parts

in transition - MKG
finishing - MKG
defense - MKG
work ethic - MKG
rebounding - MKG
size for position - MKG
jumper - hendo
handles - hendo
passing - hendo
right hand dominate - hendo
junior out of college - hendo

or you could say he is a slightly better version of taylor with more upside.

pros
- he fits dunlaps attack and defend style
- would fit uptempo pace next to kemba and MKG

cons
- replicates a lot of what MKG and taylor do
- doesnt fill our glaring needs at shooting guard (3pt shooter, ball-handler, passing, shot creator)

Hes shooting 64% from the field and 51% from 3. Seems pretty good to me.

6 to go in the 1st half and McLemore is 0-7 and Smart 0-4.

LOL!!!!

We should draft them both. They will fit in with us so well....

The super-efficient offense of McLemore is 0 for 6 shooting so far with 0 points. I seems like Smart is really bothering him defensively.

They can coexist better than Kemba and Sessions. At least it will make our perimeter defense ferocious when you throw MKG into the mix.

This McLemore - Smart matchup is just getting me more and more onto the Oladipo bandwagon.

McLemore (No. 1) & Smart (No. 2) a combined 0-for-13 from field in 1st half. Ugh. Now you know why NBA guys are depressed about the draft

 at "depressed"
