I remember when some either thought or wanted Devonte to get close to the max. Whew.

I am pretty sure we can offer 5/173, another team can offer him 4/130 ish.

Again, we do this every year thinking a Max is always going to happen, I keep seeing 25-30 mil a year for Miles in the media. Which I am fine with.

correct

I'd be surprised if Miles got a max. I ultimately think he signs for 5/120-130M. $25-26M a year. I hope we structure it so it's front-loaded and have more to spend in a season several years from now, when Hayward is off our books, the cap is way higher, and on the off chance LaMelo+Miles make us a semi-attractive destination for a good free agent in a few years.

5/125 can be structured as $29M/$27M/$25M/$23M/$21M and while he'll be overpaid right now, the last couple years of that look sweet

It's 2022. If you are under 25 and can average 20 points, a team will give ya a max. Will they regret it? Probably (look at Denver with MPJ). This is just today's NBA market sadly. Will be shocked if Miles doesn't get a max.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

There are other avenues to find Lillard a star counterpart. Word of Portland's potential pursuit of Chicago Bulls All-Star Zach LaVine via sign-and-trade and Charlotte Hornets restricted free agent swingman Miles Bridges has been a talking point among personnel at the combine.

Portland has nothing I’d swap miles for.

I really want to resign Miles, I think he is worth it. However, I also don't think letting him sign an offer sheet is worst strategy either.

Mainly because I would rather sign him 4 years then 4 years with 5th year PO, which 90% of the time that is what 5th year is. 5th year is a scam, if player is better and can sign for more they opt out (Harden, Beal, Kyrie for example), but if they suck and aren't worth they opt in (Wall, Westbrook, Batum, Blake Griffin). Where is the upside in the 5th year?

I wouldn't mind Miles being locked down for a guaranteed 5 years with no PO. I don't trust Rich Paul to not try and get Miles out of here at some point if we continue treadmilling

Yes.

5 years is one hell of a commitment to a guy we're still not 100% certain of yet.

Players options are what gets teams like the Lakers in trouble with Westbrooks contract. Granted he's much older but still.

These guys are drugged out punks headed for a fall. LaMelo, now Miles, flashing their weed and whatever extra. Pathetic.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

settle down boomer
i dont really care what drink/smoke, but just don't be so naive/immature to post on socials. its a symptom of a larger concern.
but this team really needs a few more solid adults in the locker room (and not just end of bench dudes).

So yeah, the law is the law, but having the minimum drinking age be 21 and weed being illegal are both absurd. Miles posting that is about the same as someone driving 5-10 miles above the speed limit.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Who cares? Does it say where the pic was taken?

For example, weed is legal up here so if he was in Ottawa when it was taken - no harm, no foul.

In the 80's cocaine orgies were a nightly occurrence and players were overdosing and dying. This is nothing, those guys back then are lucky social media wasn't around when they were playing.
