Exactly. Same thing should be happening for MKG.

I would rather see this then Henderson taking contested Midrange shots all night or Sessions taking any shot outside of 12 feet

Yes yes yes. Co-sign all of this. I'd much rather force feed our young guys than post up Driftwood or watch Warrick clang his needless fade-away jumper off the front rim.

Erm, this isn't how Biz is learning how to catch passes, is it?

Be interesting to watch Biyombo the rest of the season as he will get 35+ minutes the rest of the year. Averaging 10 rebounds and 2+ blocks over the past 5 games.

If he can average 0/9/2 the rest of the way, he's on schedule. The main thing is rebounding. Work on getting 11+ rebounds a game, I don't care if he gets 0 total points all next season (although teams will hack-a-Biz and he'll get FT attempts)

that's the positive for me. there has been steady improvement.

last year we complained about his crap positioning and rebounding. That has improved dramatically.

He still bites on pump fakes, but hopefully experience will iron that out.

there is still plenty of time for the offensive end.

Also from Dicky Bonnell:
Biyombo's jump shot might never worry an opponent. But I watched him shoot 15 minutes today and difference from last season is dramatic.

Silas said from the start that it would be 5 years before we see the true value of Biz.

Biyombo is still very young, big men take 3-5 years to get into the mold of consistency and quality play.

Bismack has actually played ahead of his learning curve IMO, most guys with his experience don't get to play significant minutes until they're 23-25. This is great for Biz just for experience and confidence.

I do believe he will become stronger, better at boxing out, setting screens, defending the pick and roll and post defense. Offensively, I don't have much hope but Bismack just needs to be this era's Ben Wallace.

Bobcats are in desperate need of defense, defense hasn't been the same since Jackson, Bell, Wallace, and Chandler left town.

If Kidd-Gilchrist and Bismack can work themselves into elite defenders, Bobcats will be heading to the right direction. I believe Kemba will get better defensively also. Good character guys who love the game, zero bust potential thats why I got upset at people who doubted Bismack and Kemba last year. These guys got too much love for their game to not improve.

JMAC3 wrote:Biz has been playing really well of late. He is grabbing rebounds, blocking shots, and actually scoring a little bit. Obviously he is young and still really raw, so he is going to have those 3 bad plays per game.

I like that his rebounding has been more consistent. Any consistency is a good thing for him.
JMAC3 wrote:Over his last 4 games he is averaging rougly 30 minutes, 10 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and 5 points per game.

Also, I feel like Adrien did a good job of getting Biz the ball in the paint in good position. Wish our guards could do the same thing.

Biz needs to score more regardless of who gets him the ball.

if biz could just become a half-decent lob man after the roll he would increase his ppg easily as well as his fg%. guys like chandler, mcgee and jordan would be good examples. of course, some of that might be on the guards or offense as well. our guards rarely look to throw lobs. it wouldnt shock me to see that we are dead last in alley-oops for the season.

Why is that a surprise? I can't even remember a lob all season.

He's had these stretches of rebounding well before -- in December, he had six double-digit rebounding games. I'm still waiting on those string of games of 10+ rebounds. So far this season, he's had exactly one pair of back-to-back double-digit rebounding games.

His offense hasn't progressed at all, unfortunately. It could actually be argued that's he's regressed on that end from his rookie season.
Humble yourself.

I disagree. When he came here last year he couldn't even catch a ball. He was missing more than half of his post up shots against a chair. He is far from a good offensive player but he is still much improved.

You can't just look at ppg to determine offensive productivity.

His scoring is worse than last year. He sets screens, catches, and gets offensive rebounds much better but he is scoring less than last year at lower efficiency.

These stats mean nothing, Biz is clearly a better offensive player than last year. He's a pumpfake away from vastly improving his efficiency.

part of this may be that he's more often against starters than reserves now

just noticed this tweet from Bonnell.

Effort is never a concern with him. Kemba told me teammates sometimes tell Biz to go home, because he over-trains.

like this one too when asked about Biz's ceiling.

Top 7 on a playoff team. George Karl said he can avg. a double-double.

Looks like Biz is forcing himself too much. Over-training is also bad, no? Take it easy, Biz!
