Anyone else wondering who the Knicks are making so much cap space for?

I hate Cuban. Pompous ass. Dirk has saved him for the last 20 years.

He keeps **** up his roster, swinging for the fences and just when I thought he'd have to wade through the mire like a lot of other **** teams, they pull off two trades within 7 months of each other, taking advantage of even dumber organizations, to set them up for years to come.

And the dominoes begin to fall. DSJ will be coming to Charlotte boys. The trade is happening. Kemba for DSJ and fillers.

Kidding.. sort of.

It's depressing that even in tank mode the Knicks will still beat us

That trade probably makes Dallas bad enough this year to get a top 3 pick too, if they buyout Hardaway and Lee.

Add Zion to Doncic and Porzingis. Not fair.

Isn’t their pick going to Atlanta?

How are they trading future picks if they owe pick to Hawks?

Who would even blame Kemba if he went to New York to join up with Zion and KD? In a weak East, that's as good as shot as any to win a ring. Also, the sponsorships and marketing dollars he'd command on a championship team are far greater.

Yep, the challenge is set. Improve the team now or the chance for Kemba to leave has just increased

Oh Kemba is almost certainly gone barring us going on some type of miraculous playoff run that dissuade him from using his common sense.

That might be what that trade was about. As much as it appear that the Knicks loss the trade they did open up more cap space to pursue 2-3 max contract players.

Any chance we trade him to get a few of those picks?

I think we could do a sign & trade this summer? It would probably be best for Knicks to not add him now and mess up their tanking.

Kemba will be an afterthought for the Knicks currently so that works in Charlotte’s favor. The Knicks will likely pursue Kyrie first as their plan A at PG and Kemba will be their plan B. That could sway Kemba to stay where he’s wanted.

So the theory is NYK traded for DSJ and will turn around and offer a max deal to a PG?
