Like MJ has dirt on Dolan or something? I’d be heated if we did that man. What a draft for us. Times are a changing!

More like a, "We're going to give Monk an offer sheet and we'll give you the pick if you promise to not match." It's not a legal, binding agreement, but Kupchak is known to be a man of his word. Something like that anyway. Pure postulation on my part.

Honestly... that wouldn't surprise me. Keep this in your back pocket for when FA starts.

Knicks FO looking to maximize cap space this year while stocking up on future assets. They can potentially use the Hornets pick as part of another trade down the road too.

Doesn't really explain the protections, though.

I'm still looking at Cam Thomas at #37, even if he's a horrible fit now that Bouk is here.

Who is the best shooter left? Best big on the boards?

The Nets got him. I like Butler and Bassey in those slots. Springer would be a fine get.

I'm hoping Sharife Cooper is available when we next pick.

Walking away from tonight with: Sharife Cooper - James Bouknight - Kai Jones would be a hell of a haul IMO.

It would not only bring in some great talent, but also address some roster needs and provide roster flexibility (Tae and Monk in particular).

Not to mention the earlier pick up of Plumlee for essentially nothing.

Sharife would be awesome. Butler would provide more value tho due to multiple positions but I like Sharife as well
