Not a bad list, but I believe Randle will be the first PF drafted and LaVine the first SG and those are our needs considering Kemba, MKG and Al Jefferson.

What do you mean by "won't be ready to contribute as a rookie"? Because I'm willing to predict that Zach LaVine will average double-figures in scoring as a rookie, starting or coming off the bench

Meh, Adam Morrison's sorry ass averaged double figures.

When I watch LaVine play, I see someone that is too one-dimensional. I also have concerns about his height and build.

A 12 year old girl could have gotten enough opportunities to score double digits on those early Bobcat teams. I say that, because Adam Morrison had gotten enough opportunities to score double digits on those early Bobcat teams.

Chad Ford has us fixated on Vonleh, followed by Gary Harris with that Detroit pick, both ahead of LaVine. I'm curious to see if he has us taking Julius Randle if our own pick ends up top 6.

Right now our pick is outside the lottery so we're not in the lottery machine. It's just the Detroit pick, which of course goes back to the Pistons if they jump to the top three.

When I played the mock lottery machine a couple weeks ago it had us taking Wiggins if we got #1 and Exum if we got #2 or #3.

It was there when we were out of the playoff picture at 11 and you had to spin the wheel and win. At the top of the draft it has us taking Wiggins, then Exum. With the DET pick it has us taking Vonleh, then Harris if he's not available.

Of course it goes against everything I want. I want Parker at the top, Randle if he's not available. Then I want LaVine with the DET pick, I guess Harris if he's not available.

OK, then let me reiterate my statement. I predict that LaVine will average double-figures in scoring as a rookie on at least 45% shooting & 37% from the 3-point line, starting or coming off the bench

Does it bother anybody that Lavine doesn't start?

It's a good thing. Hidden gem. The one thing I don't like is he can dribble into traffic without a plan but that's college basketball. He's a playmaker in my opinion and he can score iso

LaVine doesn't start because Steve Alford over-strategizes the thought of a balanced lineup in collegiate basketball. Since Kyle Anderson starts at PG, Alford prefer to play the sharpshooting Jordan Adams at one wing and the upperclassman Norman Powell at the other wing for defensive purposes, and prefer to have LaVine come off the bench as a dynamic scoring option with his son, Bryce Alford, as the lead point guard. It doesn't bother me one bit that LaVine doesn't start for UCLA. It's easy to tell upon watching their games that LaVine is the most talented player on their roster by far with minimal touches as Anderson & Adams hog the ball

That and the coach probably tried to keep Lavine out of the spotlight by bringing him off the bench in hopes that he could keep him around for a couple years. Them college coaches have a job to keep and they don't like all of that one-and-done stuff unless you're Calipari.

I agree. He's painfully thin too - and doesn't look like he has the body type to take on much more shape.

Wiggins is looking better and better. 29 points tonight, 4-6 from three.

He's small like Austin Rivers.
