The Bulls have better depth, way better defense, a better coach(by default, top 3 rim protector in the NBA, a better PG, and maybe just maybe better outside shooting (debatable). The core of the Bulls is still there which is a plus over a team that is completely revamped.

Also Love is pretty horrendous against the Bulls (albeit small sample size). Points take a small dip, but FG% and rebounds drop drastically. Could be teammates and what not and that gets better, but he tends to struggle against those physical type teams.

That's true, it's too bad that Biyombo and Zeller/Vonleh aren't ready to start now because they have the size and ability to totally neutralize Love and make driving to the rim a dangerous proposition. We'd also have Lance and MKG locking down any shooters. In a few years if we keep the core together we will match up really well with the Cavs.

Yeah, now that Wiggins isn't going to be playing with LeBron, we can pull for him to succeed. It still floors me that the kid is being traded before he's played a single game. After all the years of hype, all the tanking. It's just nuts!

I think being tossed aside makes it more likely that he'll live up to his potential, because now he'll have a chip on his shoulder. After being told all his life that he's the man, somebody is finally telling him he's NOT the man. At least not the man they need.

Would be even more fun to see them trade Rubio, too, (how about Rubio to NYK for Shumpert + Cleanthony Early?) and give the PG to Lavine with Wiggins and Shabazz on the wings

Lavine - Wiggins - Shabazz Mohammed - Bennett - Dieng
Bench: Mo Williams, Shumpert, Early, GRIII, Pekovic

PS: don't forget there have been reports that Bennett will be moved to Philly for Thaddeus Young.

To be fair, the suspension is new, but the gun charges were back in February.

Why trade potential for a likely short-term piece if you're rebuilding? Really don't get this for Minnesota.

Minny thinks they can contend even without Love. They reportedly wanted proven talent in addition to young talent for Love.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

They might would contend in the East, but in the West...it'll be a rude awakening. Shoot, they couldn't even make the playoffs WITH Love

What did Minny fans do? I saw it for coming up on SportsCenter but then it went off without showing it.

Because Flip Saunders gotta Flip Saunders. Easily on the short list of worst GMs.

ESPN is releasing their Summer Forecast for the East today. The Hornets were just released as their 5th best team in the East with a record of 45-37.

So far It has gone:

Cavs- 56 wins
Bulls- 54 wins
Raptors- 47 wins
Wizards- 47 wins
Hornets- 45 wins.

I can see 3-5 being that tight, but I also see us as being the most possible to separate ourselves from that pack. I would welcome a playoff series against TOR/WAS if we were the 4/5 series.

lol, that's the exact seeding I predicted. I hope we can get closer to 50 wins, but I'd be happy with the 5 seed if it meant we face Toronto or Washington in the playoffs. I think one of them is who we're going to end up facing in the first round, baring injuries of course. We match up really well against the Raptors and we've had the Wizards' number the last few years.

I think Washington's four bigs in Nene, Gortat, Humphries, and Blair could give us trouble though. We could handle them if Clifford substituted Biyombo and Henderson for Williams and MKG, but I'm not sure he's willing to try that. I have the same worries with us playing Chicago. Having another strong frontcourt player to pair with Al would be ideal against those teams in my opinion.

A lineup of:

Kemba - Wall/Rose
Henderson - Beal/Butler
Stephenson - Pierce/Dunleavy
Biyombo - Nene/Gibson
Jefferson - Gortat/Noah

Beating out the Wizards for the Southeast Division title will be essential to our seeding and getting HCA in the 1st round
