I hope Clifford let Lin guard Harden tonight, and play as true PG for 25 mins. If Lin could not contain Harden and help the team to win, the case should be closed.

We've been locking all game threads 24 hours after each game. This is not something isolated to the Wizards game.

Why not just let Lin and Harden play a game of 1 on 1 for 48 minutes?

I am not sure about Lin's one on one because he is not iso guy. He is good at team ball and one on one defense.

It looks like Lin's outside shots are finally starting to fall. His avg. is starting to come back to the mean.

Nov: 41% fg. - 26% 3pt. (15 games)
Dec: 47% fg. - 36% 3pt. (9 games so far)

I watched a game from last year, Lakers vs Celtics the other day. Lin's defense this year is noticeably better than before. He is much more hands on and physical now, seems stronger. I'm wondering how much of it is coaching and how much of it is from him taking steroids (for those who might be taking me seriously, I'm joking about the roids. :D ).

I hope Lin paid attention to the Clips last year in the playoffs. I wanna see him do the JJ Reddick "my arms are down defense" and dare the refs to call fouls. It was hilarious how it took Harden completely out of the series since he wasnt getting as many BS foul calls.

Naw, i think Lin's defense is the same this year and last. Last year he had to be a bit more careful since he had zero support from the rest of the team on the floor in regards to defensive help, but he's playing with the same intensity. He doesnt need to be as physical last year since he was covering PGs, although alot of times he had to cover alot of bigger players when his teammates constantly blew their defensive assignments.

Yes he needs some roids, damn boy is skinny as fuq. Need some more muscle to take those punishing uncalled fouls and keep plugging away on drives.

The only one who should be guarding Harden is Batum. If he can keep Harden under control, the Rockets can kind of crumble.

Roids could help, but can you imagine how many charges he'll commit?

not really...maybe it applied to houston where harden actually played reasonably well. But on this hornets team, the player most similar to harden, ie kemba, gets more hate from hornets fans than all the lin fans put together ahaha

This is inaccurate.

Well if Lins TOs shift over to charges due to increased aggression and not from stupid passes then thats risk im willing to take.

He either punishes someone down low instead of bouncing off like a doll or he gets calls. Those are TOs any coach should want.

6'3" barefoot

I think Lin is overlisted i felt i was a bit taller than him when i met him at a laker player fundraiser.

Edit: Didnt play any serious organized sports in college, mom wouldnt let me and i was too pussy to defy her. So just basic intramural bball, flag, rugby, etc

I knew of him from VaTech. Never met, but i recall him being a legit OT sized. Wasnt too impressed when i watched his college games, felt i coulda edge rushed or out-techniqued him :P

Good BBall post footwork synergizes very well with football. As well as developing the fast twitch muscles for excellent 1st step and explosion off the jump. As a big guy im biased towards smash mouth physical play, however i'm not a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) about it like Byron Scott :)

really hope one of you guys can break into NFL with more success, he was drafted in the 5th round by Bills, but bounced around for a couple of more teams, then faded away...

Its hard cuz Asian dudes are small and less aggressive overall, ive met my share of gentle asian giants. Being a large ass man in field of liliputians mean you gotta be 1 jillion times more careful around the smallfolk not to freak em out. I had to deal with that crap growing up until i got a suitable outlet for all my pent up rage and frustration for being treated different. I remember being called (Please Use More Appropriate Word) alot growing up...

"How come your 9-10 year boy is so dumb?"
"Umm he's 4-5..."
"Oh... well.... it's so unnatural for him to be so big when so young, is something wrong with him?"

Hell just getting an asian who's tall, athletic, passionate in sports like Lin is hard enough, but to get a physical monster like myself with serious anger issues on the field that made me literally want to kill people "Waterboy" style. You see alot of dudes in the NFL who people are like, "man how did that unathletic scrub make it in the league and do well?!?" Its cuz theyre angry ass **** who have massive chips on their shoulders. Who knows maybe my massive chip coulda sustained me at the higher levels.

Hence that's why i advocate Lin to play with a massive chip on his shoulder. To remember every time some racist **** calls him a chink or no game bitch ass lucky overpaid scrub and use it as hate fuel. Playing angry, tough, and aggressive actually suits his slashing game. Also yea, sorry Jeremy, it's complete bull that you gotta carry the burden of the hopes and dreams of alot of ABCs out there. Yea alot of us live vicariously through you and every insult that gets hurled at you is like an insult hurled at us. So you gotta man up and play your best at all times to shut em up.

Heh i guess this is why i love football since you can inflict pain back. I remember a game where a black DT kept calling me a chink and other racist **** everytime when we were faced off, but instead of wildly trying to punch, facemask or hurt him obviously, i kept shooting out and going after his knees every chance i got on plays that wont make it too blatantly obvious. I did take some damage from him kicking, kneeing, and stomping me as i had to constantly expose myself while doing so, but it was worth it. After a good coupla quarters of me tenderizing his knees he was wobbly and obviously a complete liability as we kept running right over him (many a fine pancake was eaten that day). He still kept up with his **** racist talking even as his teammates kept yelling at him to shut up as he was constantly getting destroyed, he was their "biggest and best" player and i guess thats why he didnt get subbed, since i'd likely destroy whoever his sub is too. Finally on a long count, i casually asked, "Hey ni**er you better not try hard on this play or you'll get hurt." Naturally he jumped offsides but came a bit high with intent to facemask me, so i calmly dropped into a crab stance and rolled blowing out his knee. Ah a most glorious moment, even that idiots teammates who were within earshot of the constant **** talking didnt even get that mad. Got a double flag an illegal block to his offside, but the scene of him rolling on the ground crying and holding his knee was simply priceless.

When i was questioned by literally everyone after the game all i said was this, "talk ****, get wrecked."
