i dont follow panthers as closely as hornets, but morgan and canalas should be gone be end of year, right? its so bad. we'll be recovering from baker to bryce nonsense for years. so many awful decisions in a row across multiple gms/coaches.

Morgan was just hired in 2024, so he'll get another year.

I don't know why Canalas shouldn't be fired if things go sideways. Evero (the DC) should be canned ASAP.

Glad im a steelers fan. We have our problems for sure. The 10 years of first round exits and tomlin not being held accountable for anything. But historically its been awesome being a fan of them my entire life. We still need to find our long term solution at qb. Hopefully thats done in the 26 draft in Pittsburgh. Which i will be at.


Our offensive coordinator sucks balls and we need to updrage the defense and rb position aswell. Grow as a young o line. But we are never down and out.

I'm tempted to, but I run businesses. Social media (and entertainment news tv that's not really news now but just "hate this group, hate that group") has completely wrecked this country, and the billionaires in charge don't' particularly care. I'm completely out on all political discourse, I've hidden everything I can on facebook and tiktok, but it still seems to seep in no matter what. I'd so sad how many people are getting duped by recent events.

The algorithm is almost set up that if you comment on something you dokt agree with, then it just multiplies on your feed. The reels filled with conspiracy theories are absolutely unhinged. The hate from whatever side when a big event goes down. Its straight trash. Im considering getting a landline and and answering machine with a clamshell for emergencies with only a few people having my number. You're right the tech billionaires dont care whats on the platform or its users. They care about clicks. Im just done. Humans weren't meant to live and engage like this.

I think it's good that everyone does what they can to protect their sanity during these times...
While I haven't deleted my social media, I do spend a lot of time fighting the algorithms to try to keep as much hateful nonsense off of my feeds
Instagram they do have a toggle that allows you to turn off political content and then if anything does come up I just do the not interested in that probably weeds out 90% of it but there's still just so much content that is generated for the sole purpose of creating anger no matter what side you're on. The engagement is the anger. Nothing fuels clicks and viewers more than anger.
For the site formerly known as Twitter, I stick to only my curated lists which I have shared on this board multiple times for my Hornets list and my NBA draft list. I unfollowed anything that's political and I will remove people out of my Hornets list if they stray too far from talking about basketball into the political realm. And on Reddit I unfollowed my political subreddits But it still bleeds into about 50% of the subreddits I follow.

The algorithms for social media are probably one of the most damaging things that's happened to the world. It's all designed to just generate reactions and it's all micro targeted against us either to amplify hate, amplify misinformation, or Further reinforce a belief, the echo chamber of dumb thoughts.

And what was a slow trickle of misinformation over the years Has turned into a Firehouse since social media. And it' should never about the left versus the right, or Men versus women, or race... All of that is pushed down our throats to make us constantly angry and blaming everyone else while the billionaires and the corporations siphon wealth away from the poor in the middle class to the 1%. That's what's been happening since the ridiculous trickle down economics of the 80s which was just a fancy way to start funneling money to the billionaires and to feed the corporate greed. Everything else is just designed to keep the 99% fighting with each other long enough so that they don't get pissed off about what's happening to the transfer of wealth.

And I do hope that one day in the near future the 99% of us realize that the fight isn't with each other It isn't with different races and genders, and all the other fake outrage, The fight is with the billionaires and the corporations, Because they have proven they will do anything and everything to grab power and wealth with little to no consequences, and **** the consumers or the populace at every turn.

If you use X again definitely create your own lists. Because if you use the "for you" Feed that they shove down your throat it's just going to be garbage generated to make you angry, no matter your views. And the replies underneath most of those viral clips is an absolute cesspool of humanity.

So my fairly new Asus Zephyrus G14 that I've had for two and a half years Died two weeks ago. Blue Screen of Death followed by a BIOS loop because my windows had been completely wiped. Luckily I had backed up maybe half my stuff back in February when I had to do a Windows reinstall. But at least then you could choose to save your files. The asus has been a buggy mess since day one. I thought the computer was toast. So I broke down and bought a Lenovo Legion 5. I'm in the process of setting that one up. While I was waiting on this new one to arrive I was able to figure out how to sideload Windows and bypass the BIOS and do a complete reinstall on the ASUS but everything was completely wiped including all the bloatware and preloaded software that you kind of need Spent two days getting that up and running while waiting on the Lenovo. I also had an old Lenovo from 2015 that miraculously still works like a champ. So had been using that mostly for the past two weeks. So now I have a new Lenovo and completely clean reinstall on the Asus and the 10 year old Lenovo. fun times.

Sounds like your hard drive had a couple of sectors die which had necessary windows files on it. Even though you got it up and running again, probably a good time to move on as sectors dying is usually a sign of the drive starting to fail.
