I like this one. Would like to add Josh Green.

Yeah if the FO isn't bringing Bridges back then I think it is a win win for both sides. Mavs desperately need talent around Luka and Kyrie and this is a cheap way to do it and keep their tradeable pick for a future deal.

Green would be a solid player, but he is a couple tiers below where Bridges is.

you said build around Miller and Mark.

I'm thinking you mean everyone else is available besides those 2 players.

I said "im not" to the point to rebuild around Miller and Mark and blow it up.

You sure did say that. My apologies I misread your comment. :D

The return on Bridges sounds like it would not be worth it and we should plan on resigning him anyway. Based on this season, maybe we can find middle ground and land him for something less than the max.

Time to trade Rozier. Love him, but his stats aren't resulting in wins. He plays for him not his teammates. Takes way too many shots. He's playing like he's the star when he's not a star.

Trade him while his value is high.

Scoot is starting to play better by the way. Time to give Miller a bigger role on this team. Right now he's playing like a role player because Scary Terry thinks he's the star.

Recently noticed something about Terry that really infuriates me. He is pretty good at driving to the rim; prob our best rim pressure guy along with Miles. The thing is it feels like he has no idea what a drive-and-kick play is. I swear he could pull an entire team to the paint, but still try to get a layup off over a trio of Hakeem, AD, and Mutumbo.

Idk if it is low IQ, selfish play, or just wanting to get his stats in.

Trust me, it's not just you who notices this.

He's a ball hog. Guy rarely passes when he drives he's looking for his shot 90% of the time. Guys be wide open for 3 and he just ignores them.

It's time to move on.

Pick one:

1) Trade Gordo straight up for John Collins.

2) Let Gordo expire.

3) Swallow a bottle of pills.

I was just contemplating Collins as replacement for starting 4. Not a super exciting player but I think he would produce more than PJ

Yeah, scary thing is I think would do it as well. I'm at that point. Think the Jazz would see the appeal.

I doubt we would get much for miles right now, so let him play out the season at small forward.

I would do Hayward for Collins in a heartbeat.

We aren't getting quality FAs in Charlotte. Might as well trade for a guy who can shoot the 3 and play defense.

I'd trade Gordo for a 2RD and literally anyone who plays defense

It’s 1:5 ISO ball and when he’s burying these circus shots it’s a distraction from everything you mentioned. He’s a skilled player in the wrong role. I’ve been saying this for like 5 years or however long he’s been here. His performance simply doesn’t lead to wins. JB at least had him throttled that one season where he gave him the green light in the clutch and it worked. Otherwise, I’m willing to bet if you look up his top 10 performances they’re mostly losses.

Again, not knocking Terry. That’s just his game and he’s good at it but if you’re going to make that your offense then you’re going to lose a lot of games. This is a fact and has been proven for all of the seasons we’ve watched him do it.

It’s also time to simply change parts out for different parts to try and find a chemistry that works.

Side note - watch carefully at how many times there’s an open guy in the corner clapping their hands doing jumping jacks while Terry (and sometimes Miles now) has 3 guys on them.

The issue with Collins is he’s known to not put 100% effort in. We should stay away.

Is it just me or did PJ regress the second Miles was brought back

To me, it felt like before hand that PJ either played amazing to completely terrible. Now with Miles back it has gone from feeling close to non existent to terrible on a given night.

I still think PJ would be fine to great on a contender as a 4th or 5th starter with a clearly defined role.

PJ is actually who we suspected he is; an under motivated player who likes to sit outside and shoot threes verses mixing it up in the paint. He’s had big games where we all say “now THATS the PJ we need every night”, but far far more the opposite. Both he and Miles are somewhat undersized for PF. John Collins might have his own issues but he’s a stronger rebounder who shoots a slightly better percentage than Miles, and ditto PJ as well. I’d be glad to get Collins here and send Miles and Gordon out, but I doubt Miles would approve that destination.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Considering the **** that is the Hornets post Borrego I don't resent PJ for feeling that way
