I'm suprised with the contract, 9 mil + 3rd year a team option. Thought he wanted a lot more money. So, he was probably after a team where he could be one of the stars. Respect!

Great thing is Marvin and Hendo are great trade bait for next year. I am not big on Boozer but we are thin at PF and I want to bring Vonleh on a lil slowly. He seems a bit too raw

This might be the best deal of the entire off-season, Lebron excluded, if he keeps his head on straight. $27 million over 3 years with a team option on the last one is roughly twice as favorable for us as I expected. Losing out on Hayward may be a blessing ins disguise now if Lance produces for this discount price. Cho made us sweat til the 11th hour, but we've been rewarded with the payoff that seemed so unlikely even last night so it's all good.

I love how our organization has maneuvered for 2016. This team has a two year window to show something and if it doesn't work out we just evaluate who is worth keeping and hit the reset button on the rest. If the team looks awesome Cho and MJ have a killer marketing pitch to free agents. Big Al may be talked into taking an elder statesman discount and we dangle the "take less than the max but we'll boost your salary from $9 to $13 million this season" carrot in front of Lance. Not to mention the cap may rise close to $80 million after the new TV deal. Best case scenario is we're the new Pacers at that point, except younger and flush with cash 8-)

It's a good day to be a Hornets fan. The offseason is a success now imo. A lot of us probably would have been happier with us signing Marvin at $5 million then Lance at $11 million, but hell, this is the same amount of money so screw it. You did good, Cho. You did real good.

I'm happy with this signing. A 3 year deal at $9m per with a team option in the third year limits our risk in case he is as unstable as some are concerned he might be. But if he blossoms this deal will be incredibly attractive. Nice work.
