must win tonight for USMNT. Anyone thing JK gets fired if we lose tonight? I think its a real possibility. That would be two disastrous tournaments in a row on our home soil.

people have lost their **** minds today in Marseille leading up to the England v Russia game. Riots galore. Soccer hooligans are the worst.

Check out all the videos

Game starts at 3 on ESPN (if it even gets played). Its going to be intense.

While not likely can't a tie knock us out. It would take a 7-0 loss by Columbia or something though right?

I know next to nothing about soccer generally (other than how the rules work) or the USMNT, but am planning on watching the game tonight. Any strategies / matchups that I should be watching for?

We lost control of ourselves in the second half but it was a solid win. I am liking the flow of our 4-3-3 with the top group moving in and out.

Now we need all the other young players to keep developing. Who out of this young bunch do you see becoming the best players on the national team in 4 years?

Christian Pulisic
Jordan Morris
Bobby Wood
Julian Green
Emerson Hyndman
Rubin Rubio
Gedion Zelalem
Matt Miazga
Deandre Yedlin
John Brooks
Will Trapp

Then you have the guys that should be in their prime or just about to enter their prime

Michael Bradley
Jozy Altidore
Fabian Johnson
Darlington Nagbe
Arron Johansson (he's been hurt most of the year)
Gyasi Zardes

We still seem to be missing a true defensive midfielder among these two age groups.

Pulisic and Brooks are the two big ones for me. There's a lot of bright talents in that list though.

Brooks is already our best centerback imo

Looks like this is pretty well proven to be true. I didn't think he was this good

He has been fantastic in this summer, the 3 friendlies + Copa. He's been the best player on the team so far, pretty easily if you ask me. I think his performance vs Paraguay is one of the best games from a US defender that I have ever seen.

Too bad Yedlin lost his **** mind in the last game. Our back line was looking so damn good.

Cool win by my Squadra Azzurra against Belgium last night. there can't be high expectations with the roster they have but it would be very Italy-like to strive in such conditions.

That was a huge mistake by Yedlin.

Brooks has been a huge addition and the communication with him and Cameron has been major too.

Its good to see Brooks bring it for the national team. That 3 v 1 he stopped was ridic. DeAndre getting a red is pretty big, we don't have a natural right back to fill in with. My guess is we'll have to mess with the CB chemistry and bring in Besler and move Cameron outside. Either that or Orozco.

My only real complaint is the way the Costa Rica game\Paraguay because of the way the games went down, we didn't get to see Pulisic\Nagbe come in. Pulisic is probably the best attacking prospect for the U.S. since Landon\Rossi (plays for Italy). I'm pretty lukewarm about the other prospects.

FWIW, I think Jordan Morris is a huge bright spot for our future. Watching him weekly out here, and can't help but think that the clock is ticking on his days in Rave Green before he jumps overseas. The future is unlimited for the talent he possesses.

Brooks has been a beast the past few matches and am looking forward to seeing him continue to dominate.

Scored some tickets yesterday, so I will be present for the US-Ecuador match on Thursday!! Woot!

My fear for them is racking up the yellows. Chiellini and Bonucci got them both for professional fouls if I remember correctly. They're still one of the favorites for me, just because the Italians know how to win. I know its not the best Italian side but I think they're still up there.

good point. their roster is probably a lot more shallow than usual.
