Well, I think there is little to no need to worry about getting Portland the second pick (for their two). They would probably just draft Drummond and if he is going to be a bust (or injury prone as he would be a Blazers then) there is little to lose. It comes to whether he could or could not succeed and i believe Cho would read him well. Most importantly they are probably going to be good enough to get ouf of protected area next year or theyear after with the help of sixth and eleventh picks. How oddly it sounds they may get more help that way and betting on one player, Drummond may kick them in the butt and even he proves worthy, big men take time to develop.

Still worst what could happen is us getting a (very) late lottery pick next year instead of unprotectedd three years later (which may be the same, better or even slightly worse).

Jordan has been TERRIBLE this season after getting paid

he played when he knew he was up for a new contract

Clips would love to get rid of his contract now

Exactly. Even past his prime (lol) Kwame Brown got a 1 yr, 7M deal. Never trade a big for a small, you can't teach size, yada yada.

Andre Drummond has no heart whatsoever. He has zero passion for the game. Harrison Bust was shut down by 6'2 guards from the University of Ohio when his stud pg went down with an injury. I like Trob or Beal or the trade with Portland.

Drummond is better than Thabeet and DeAndre right now, indubitably.

so we could have our own bum center with an awful contract to replace Diop

guy is a stud --- I think his intensity may win Cho/Jordan over.

i can definitely tell this summer will be defined by the drummond supporters vs the drummond haters. no other player in the draft is this polarizing.

I'm starting to like the Portland trade idea.

Barnes at 6 seems reasonable, 11 we take Henson or PJ3.

Thing about Beal is that those against him are saying not to draft him because we have Hendo - but I think that most hope that Hendo will become the player that Beal already is (I'm saying that Beal is already better than Hendo with a higher ceiling).

Trade Hendo for another 1st round pick.

Get Beal and Sullinger.

PJIII and even Q.Miller have some stocks in that title.

I feel bad for Rich Cho and the Bobcats but I wonder if Portland and the Bobcats
could do a deal involving a player +2 for 6&11 for I would agree Drummond would
be too big a gamble for the Bobcats and players like MKG and Robinson would do
little to really improve your team. Portland wants a big and likes Zeller but he's
not going to be there at 11 and he's a big reach at 6 which is why a trade with
the Bobcats makes the most sense if Drummond is the best center in the draft.

yeah we've been talking about this for weeks. 6 and 11 aren't exactly a gold mine, though. I think I'd want portland to remove protections on their pick to us for next year as well at least.

If we took the protection off in this deal, would you be willing to send back a top 5 protected next year?
