^and 1'd. The article does not view Bismack's stats within the proper context of the season, which makes the stats really misleading. Advanced statistics are ruining sports journalism.

The sun goes down, I got better as a person and as a player, new day tomorrow to make myself and the people around better! #love #biznation

Glad that he's already working his ass off to get better. Important offseason for him.

JR (Philly)

Since he was name-dropped above, what do you think of Biyombo as a 'Ben Wallace type'? Is that a polite way of saying he doesn't score, or can he bring other contributions to the court?
Kevin Pelton (2:08 PM)

I think that's unfair to Ben Wallace, who had much greater defensive impact and better hands. So far, Biyombo has been a disappointment and I'm not sure how much upside he really has.

Fair assessment of Biyombo - particularly liked how the author didn't try to come up with excuses for Biyombo's performance. Didn't make much progress this year but worth holding onto to see if he managed to develop into something more than a defensive role player off the bench.

"Chris (DC)

I am oddly fascinated with just how bad the Bobcats organization is from top to bottom (GM Rich Cho may be an outlier) and look at the team as a blank slate. Since this is a draft without a signature talent, wouldn't they be better off attempting to package the pick with an expiring deal like Ben Gordon (once he opts in) to acquire a productive veteran big man like a Millsap, Smith, or Jefferson to get some value? If they were to get the second pick and take either Otto Porter or Ben McLemore, maybe package them with Biyambo (a natural Ben Wallace type PF) for Andre Drummond.
Kevin Pelton (1:40 PM)

I'd be surprised by that kind of a move. The Bobcats seem content to build patiently. I think they're at least a year away from adding a veteran, and they would probably do that via free agency rather than giving up a pick."

Half of NBA players of his age, uhm, on rookies contracts as well would end the senstence with fun and didn't include learning at all. That's what you just have to love about Biz.

(also many of his peers would have much worse spelling and thought how cool it is)

If David West, then hell, why not Paul George? Hibbert is much more reasonable.
Humble yourself.

I see Biyombo doing a lot of cross fit stuff on his twitter, but rarely see him saying he's actually working on his basketball skills. I hope he doesn't turn into one of those fitness freaks like Okafor did with Yoga, and forget that he needs a TON of on court work.

Lol. Some of his tweets are rather funny. Even the ones where he is dead serious.

cross fit sucks...it only helps you get better a cross fit. that dude should be in the gym 24/8

biz needs to be driving around the country going from gym to gym looking for games to play vs other pros. he needs 5 on 5 experience.
