I'd rather watch Mike and Saul argue about stickers than listen to Walter White's bitchy wife bitch, bitch, bitch.

I want there to be a 30 for 30 on the infamous Kings/Lakers game 6 more than anything they could do for that show. I can't imagine it ever happening since ESPN has such a large stake in the broadcasting rights for the NBA and actually bringing the facts of that situation to light could make the NBA look horrible. That being said, it would likely make for one of the best 30 for 30s ever and I think the fans of the NBA really do deserve to know as much as possible about what went down.

I don't think it's that impossible in a sense of ESPN being biased. I acknowledge the rather limited power he would have in this, but Simmons would definitely push this idea.

Where I think you'll face the most trouble is the interview process and the legitimacy of your sources. Stern wouldn't participate. Any of his underlings aren't likely to take part either. Donaghy would probably be happy to talk but, for all we know, he is talking out of his ass (some of his accusations definitely seem over-exaggerated) and there is no rightful reason to believe him as a person either way.

At the end of the day, if you really do suspect some kind of a conspiracy behind the game, I have serious doubts about it ever being un-masked. None of the parties involved will simply give you an interview concerning this accusation.

Of course, you can always do a Kings-heavy documentary that features breakdowns of the plays, helps the average fan see that the calls were actually that bad and obnoxious and a frustrated Rick Adelman and Vlade Divac being interviewed at their respective homes, still enraged about it dozen years afterwards.

All good points. I still think just seeing interviews with players/coaches on both sides as well as media people who were at the game and hearing their speculation would be fascinating. I'd really love to know what the general consensus is about that game among NBA people and what different rumors or beliefs there are floating around. I still don't think ESPN would be very likely to pursue a show about this anytime soon considering how many fans seriously believe that the NBA actively cheats for Lebron James (the NBA's cash cow) via biased officiating. It would only add fuel to that fire.

edit: I guess the polarization/controversy Lebron causes is what drives fan interest more than anything so who knows.

Well, a committed local Sacramento group could always do the documentary that you described.

Just take a look at Sonicsgate. Those guys weren't scared to portray Stern and the NBA in a negative manner.

What is Sonicsgate?

A documentary dedicated to Seattle's love for the Sonics and the shady way Clay Bennett and Stern orchestrated the franchise's relocation.

I loved the Sonics. I had no idea this existed. I'm definitely watching this before work.

Just watched the first 3 episodes of "Bosch" on Amazon Prime.
Really well done show. Good characters, great acting, stylish, excellent music, attractive love interest, serial murder suspense to keep it moving along. Recommended.

While the NBA world was turning upside down, I was seeing Birdman at a cinema.

My thoughts on the ending are that...
Spoiler:
it was all a dream. I don't see why the jellyfish shots are otherwise included in the film. He got stung real bad and it thankfully saved his life from his suicide attempt hence the "unexpected virtue of ignorance". He proceeds to dream about being an actual Birdman, running around in under-wear, etc., yet at the end wakes up at that jellyfish-filled beach and realizes that he will live.

1st season was great.

first season has me temporarily ranking it as the second best tv series ever. now Vince Vaughn has the task of holding on to that place....
