This is a risky trade for us but I wont say bad because we cant. We traded a player that we have no idea of how good he was thanks to our bone head coach. and we rent a player who could easily walk at seasons end. This is what you call rolling the dice but it is extremely risky. We are more than likey gonna draft kaminsky

Batum has played a ton of SG for Portland in the past.

As for Hendo, I believe I mentioned several times last year that Portland would be one of the teams that is an ideal fit for him. They don't need him to shoot 3s, just to play defense and do his thing. Then again, maybe Stotts will finally get him shooting corner 3s like a smart coach should.

honestly there is no telling who will be on this team when we go to bed tomorrow night. This very well may not be over and no player is safe.

Does that mean you are calling Wes Matthews the SF in that situation?

I dunno. Just going by what one of the Portland forum mods came over here and posted.

It's more wild than I could have ever imagined. Cho is pretty rigid. I think MJ has his paw prints all over this.

Cho is BLOWING up the team.

it definitely makes us better now, which is what MJ would have mandated.

Vonleh really is the wild card in all this.

The Sebastian Express wrote:Nic can play SG just a fyi. He can play the four in small ball lineups as well, especially probably in the east. I know you guys are mad, I don't think anyone is really happy with the trade on either side, but Nic did have a down year due to fatigue and injury. But his injuries are recovering and he isn't doing as much with France this year. He has good handles, a good three point shooter, can defend four positions (five if the other team is going small too), creates for himself and others and is nice guy.

You guys shouldn't be mad. Hendo is a perfect fit for your team. He'll be very solid. Vonleh has the tools to be a monster, but it will take time. If you designed a power forward for the modern NBA, he would look like Vonleh and have all of Vonleh's skills. He just has to put it all together. He shoots 3s, dribbles like a guard, rebounds like a mad man and is very long. He's just very raw and needs more experience and confidence.

Batum has shot around 37% from 3 on nearly 5 attempts per game from 3 over the last 4 seasons. Lance would wet himself if he could do that.

What probably is going to make this trade turn out bad is that we are probably gonna have to resign batum to a huge contract so we don't look bad if he walks. we already overpaid kemba and not him
