Ok, but Monk had enough time to catch the pass, dribble the ball, make a step back and take the step back heavily contested shot and when he missed there was still enough time for the Raptors to rebound the miss, take it full court and take a shot from within their 3pt line.
Point is: Monk didn't have to take that heavily contested shot because there was loads of time to drive himself and kick or just purely drive and look to make the shot or get fouled, but he didn't.
