We just need to rid ourselves of Terry and Gordon and try to get any player with a pulse that can hit 3's consistently

Terry becuase he doesn't fit on the team and you absolutely cannot play him next to LaMelo or at backup PG and Gordon because his usage is too high, we suck and he needs to go to a team that wants to win a title with him off the bench and maybe we can get a young player or asset and then finally hand the keys to LaMelo and Miller so they can have all the usage and develop

(Sacramento and Memphis I'm looking at you, you both need Gordon)

The Terry hate continues to make me giggle.

Somehow or another we need to find a 3rd C. A secondary playmaker and as many 3&D players as possible.

Oh I don't hate him, I just want him off the team

Hornets record is unchanged whether he is on the team or not. If he played the last two weeks, we are still 3-9. I just don't want him stunting Miller's growth...he needs to play next to LaMelo at the 2.

If Terry comes back and we bench Miller, than there's no point in watching the rest of the season... it just shows we are a braindead franchise that goes out of its way to be really bad, like it hates its fans to the core

Come on Coolio... Miller is getting 30 minutes regardless. Rozier started off the season averaging 24 5 and 4 or something shooting 46 percent from the field. Our obvious glare is at the 2 spot. Terry is definitely starting. If you're going to bench anyone it's going to be PJ for Miles which might happen as soon as next game and Hayward for Miller but we both know that's not happening. Clifford is coaching for his life as this will probably be his last gig.

I'm trying really hard to be positive and optimistic here. We may have found a winning backcourt with LaMelo and Miller. Need to start surrounding them and Mark (and possibly Miles) with Players that Matter™. Terry and Gordo are too high usage, minus defensively to keep them around when we are going to suck anyway. And PJ is way too inconsistent to be a starter, he needs to be in the Thor spot with Thor's minutes. Also, we just need a shakeup....new blood and new energy. We can't foster a losing culture for LaMelo and Miller, or they'll be ruined

I think Miller fits well with the starters, better than Rozier does. Gordon is going to start since he is the only semi-reliable playmaker on the team besides Melo. And Miles should start because PJ needs to be benched.

Rozier fits with the bench, along with PJ, as Rozier can be the ball-handler and main scorer and PJ can be the #2 where he can hopefully be more consistent against bench players.

I think they should still start PJ.

LaMelo/Miller/Miles/PJ/Mark
Rozier/Hayward/Thor/Richards

That would be the top nine id roll with. I would trade Rozier asap. Hayward doesn't have a future with this team, but can be backup PG and stagger some minutes with the starters at forward while PJ splits backup center minutes with Thor. If Martin can't play some combo of the Ish/McGowens/Smith Jr will have to eat some minutes.

Miles time to start again for sure. Hayward needs to be dealt. Doubtful Rozier gets traded as I don’t see any team wanting him, but he would be a dynamic 6th man.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I personally think Miller will settle in best at the 3, but him Lamelo and Mark are definitely a bright future. I'd include Miles, but yea.

Miller definitely is a 3 long term i think and when/if we have a full squad he's the only new guy I see getting a run.
Ish has already taken most of the backup pg minutes.

are pj and miles too similar to both function effectively at 3/4?
or just random bad pj funk, unrelated to miles?

Only been 65 mins but Bridges is rocking a 114 def rating
Opposed to Gordon and PJ both at 124.
Miller and Melo are 121.
Mark and Terry at 119
Thor and Nick are 116.

I don't hate the idea of a lineup of
LaMelo- Miller-Miles-Thor-Mark.

Thor takes over the stand in the corner role on offense and maybe see if playing him with 4 good offensive players is a sneaky way to get him 20 mpg. I am not saying this is longterm because Rozier will be back but in the short term Hayward and PJ off the bench should be able to find their offensive rythym if they play a 2 man game surrounded by Richards and McGowens.

Can I just ask but what's happened to Cody Martin, is he in a witness protection somewhere. I know there is a Martin at the end of the bench but did they just ship in Caleb lol. This injury Cody's got has been for so long now it's ridiculous, how long was his new contract for.

the fact tht there is zero mention of a timeline for cody tells me everything. his knee is trashed. even if/when he plays, how will he look? how long until he's out injured again?
