Love seeing that MKG has that type of trade value. It would be hard to turn down essentially two top 5 picks potentially.

Like Fat said though Porter is not a sure thing by any means and that pick could end up being closer to the teens than we would of liked.

I am glad we kept MKG... I think he is due for big things.

freeland

Post#1402 » by chocodog » Mon Jul 1, 2013 2:55 pm

would charlotte be interested in talking on joel freeland's contract from the blazers in exchange for something as minor as a conditional 2nd round pick?

FYI, Freeland makes 3 mil a year for 2 more years.

he struggled as a rookie last year but he's still young and, at 6-10 250 lbs, he can log minutes at both PF and center (though i think he's better suited at PF). Not a long term commitment if he fails but blazers would like to move his contract. From what i understand, charlotte has no pressing salary cap concerns and can use more depth in the front court. They seem like logical partners?

HAHA... we do not want your garbage!!!

We can sign somebody who isn't trash for 3 million a year, and wow thanks a 2nd rounder!!! This deal only helps you get out of his salary so you can sign somebody better. We have capspace and are looking to bring talented players.

So no thanks, however why don't you take Ben Gordon and we will give you a second rounder....

Give us Allen Crabbe and/or Thomas Robinson and we'll take freeland for a top 59 protected 2035 2nd round pick.

Yeah, Freeland sucks pretty bad. Maybe if Portland removed the protection on their pick would I consider taking him.

What are the Pelicans gonna do with Eric Gordon? They shopped him before the draft and now they just offered Tyreke Evans 4/48. I can see why the Kings tried desperately to move up to take McLemore. They must have felt thrilled when he fell to them.

Would they take Tyrus Thomas and cap space + the Portland pick for Eric Gordon?

I noticed they're attempting to clear additional cap space by shopping Robin Lopez and Grevis Vasquez. I wouldn't be surprised if they want to dump Austin Rivers as well.

I think JJ Hickson is our plan B. I'd like Lopez though.

I would love to trade for Robin Lopez. What can we trade to get him?

I wish. Doubt they'd do Vasquez for Sessions straight up, let alone adding Lopez.

I'd rather have a healthy Sessions over Vasquez anyway and I am not a huge fan of Lopez.

Sessions was huge for the Bobcats last year. They should only deal him if they are getting something pretty valuable back.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Eric Gordon needs to end up in PHO. The place where perennially injured players go to save their career.

I'd do Gortat+Beasley for Gordon if I were NO.
Even Gortat straight up for Gordon works in the Trade Machine.

I want NOLA's future pick. They are obviously incompetent and worth the gamble.

You'd have to pry it from them, though. They traded Jrue Holiday for it (and Noel), they aren't likely to let it go easily.
