I don't know if TS is going to eventually be good enough to get a productive spot in the line up or not but it's odd to rule it out after his freshman year basically.
Hopefully he gets it done.

nobody really expects the front office to give up on their pet project so quickly

It's less about giving up on a prospect and more that people like myself were never "in" on Salaun in the first place, and we haven't been given any reason to believe otherwise.

I would be really shocked to see Tidjane get a second contract, he looks that far away. Maybe that's part of the FO master plan though, to not waste money on a #6 pick in a bad draft

Tidjane imo has a pretty strong case to be a better player by the end of his rookie deal than Knecht- who people wanted to draft last year.
Knecht averaged 9.1 ppg and is 24 yrs old.
Tidjane averaged 5.9 ppg and is 19 yrs old.

Not even close to which one is a better defender.

Tidjane will be out of the league at 24

Yeah he will be circling the drain. If Jeff acts this summer though he can salvage 2nd round value on this colossal miscalculation.

Jalen Johnson averaged 2.4 ppg as a rookie, 5.6 ppg as sophomore.

I don't think Peterson cares how Tidjane played his rookie year, they didn't draft him because they thought he would win ROY. If that is what they wanted they could have taken a 23 year old Dalton Knecht which they didn't.

Yeah the one coach or trainer was frustrated when he was like post up. The kid has not a single skill the is NBA level. He will be out of the league shortly after his rookie contract. The people defending him are the probably the same ones who were ride or die with MKG. Its just not gonna happen for the kid and its plain as day. Hes amazingly awful at everything.

Or one could say they are working with him because that’s their job.

The discourse around the kid is the weirdest I've ever seen from one of our players. Like I get it he looked terrible. He's a project pick in a terrible draft.

Shocking that the hate is so bad that he can't workout with his coach without people trying to spin it as a negative

To be fair his coach was pissed when he was like POST UP! The frustration was obvious. If you believe in salmon fine enjoy wasting your time, because he has not a single skill that is NBA level, and its not just going to magically happen for him. He has no feel or instincts. He could work hard and all the stuff they like, but at the end of the day hes a liability. And basically unplayable.

He wasn't even yelling at him from posting up, he wanted him to get lower on the pivot so that he had more power/lift on the shot... but yeah other than that you seem like an expert.

People that think the coach getting frustrated at a dude during a drill is a rarity have likely never practiced a sport or done training. Coaches often look frustrated and pissed off. It's a apart of their way of drilling instruction into you lol.

Post up or get low he was visibly frustrated. I mean he looked like Bambi in some Angel Reese drills. But yeah he might be playable one day. Thats the hopes of a 6th pick.

Cool so when he averages 7 points and 4ish rebounds on horrible percentages his sophomore year we can go through this again next offseason. Keep that MKG faith it worked last time.

And yes im the biggest detractor of salmon on this board. The kid is straight garbage. It was the definition of a dumpster fire pick. But i will say this if he proves me wrong I'll eat alllll of the crow. Even the beak.

You are also freaking out over a 10 second clip vs fake defense

Not freaking out at all. But some Angel Reese drills seem pretty weak.

They honestly should have just taught him to be a catch and shoot stretch 5.
