Guys Melo isn't changing this is who he is. He's still cussing in his interviews. He doesn't know what leadership is and that's fine. The issue with Melo is can he stay healthy or not.

Like I said with Miller this is their personality. Some people were born goofy. Accept them for what they are. Being goofy is not a crime.

I still say us drafting Kon had more to do with Melo/Miller. They didn't want to put another goofy kid Ace with Melo/Miller. It's why they have been preaching character. They want serious guys in the locker room.

Ok keep these videos coming I'm getting entertained. I might have to follow LaMelo on Tik Tok.

All we need now is full body tatted Melo.

Goofy? You wanna talk Goofy? How do you explain Salaün? He is the biggest Goof I've witnessed play since Frank Kaminsky!

why compare him to Salaun? talk about opposites. Salaun is a very raw rooky who appears serious in his presentation but looked goofy with his playing style. Lamelo is the highly skilled franchise player, who is graceful on the court but presents as goofy in social media.

just a pointless drive by attack on Salaun.

LaMelo is just different than what we're all used to and expect. I think the way he talks and carries himself is what concerns everyone (rightfully so) but if you look beyond that he seems as dedicated to basketball as we could ever ask for. One of the reasons he's pretty good in the clutch is because of his mindset IMO.

He seems dedicated to "hooping" but not at all dedicated to the grind.

Does anyone really think he's serious about off-season improvements to his body? Do you think he's working with a trainer on his weaknesses? Do you think he does film study? Nutritionist?

I definitely don't. He's a pure natural talent kind of guy. There's a reason why he's pretty much the same player going into year 6 as he was in year 1.

Yep, he is still a skinny teen looking fella but is entering his grown up man strength stage. That's not speaking well to his workout habits. I think he like shooting J's and practicing moves but i don't see the results of dedicated weight training.

I have said this numerous times if we are keeping LaMelo we need to trade for a legit piece. He can't win with this current roster. We should actually get him a legit sidekick and see how that goes.

As much as we talk about how he can't win, what have we actually done to give him support?

Go get a Bam and really go for it in the weak East.

I think LaMelo can be a first team All-NBA level player and I refuse to give up on him until he has proven beyond doubt that he won’t improve.

Get him a competent big, another source of rim pressure, and a legit lob/transition threat (what Bridges was supposed to be but now no longer is) and let’s see. There is absolutely no use to picking another Salaun in 2027. Use one or more of those picks and get a real player at the 4 or 5!

Lowe said (paraphrasing) “the center situation in Charlotte is the most bizarre thing he’s seen in a long time”.

Thanks for verifying our concerns! Ridiculous to allow it to be this vacant. Can’t depend on a rookie, and do NOT say Moose can handle it…that’s wishful BS. Mason is a band aid.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I listened to the extended dialogue on LaMelo and they were both pretty spot on. They obviously did their homework and looked beyond the surface of what the fly-by-night analysts look at. Zach seems to be a big believer in leveraging the assets to get an experienced star who can help Charlotte take the next step and used a "Siakam like player" as the example. It would be ironic if the player was Siakam himself lol.

I really think LaMelo was forced to do way too much last season because of the putrid talent and options on the floor around him. I do think he wants to win though and it's easy to forget he's still only 23.

That dudes calves are scrawny. Like a chicken. I wish he would work on that as much as the art. No wonder he hurts his ankles every year.
