The Bobcats have won four straight, and Zeller continues to give them solid minutes off the bench. He's seen a consistent 15-20 minutes a night and over his last three games he's averaged 9.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 16.7 minutes. The numbers aren't eye-popping, but with players struggling, his consistency is worth rewarding, especially since he's doing it for a team that's sitting sixth in the East.

He's weightlifting and a mean streak from being a rich man's Joel Amundson right now, that's a tougher fix than some of you want to believe.

Who the f is Joel Amundson?

a Lou Amundson and Joel Przybilla hybrid.

Damn, that would be great back up center. Even when I'm spewing nonsense I'm a genius.

That players on that list are hilariously bad. This draft sucked.

As always we need to give the rookies time.

Zeller has most definitely turned the corner and is helping us towards the playoffs.

It was looking bleak a couple of months ago.

I'm not ready to anoint Cody Zeller as 'turning the corner' when he's still shooting sub-to-low 40% from the field as a 7-footer. Just because he's contributing more than blunders lately doesn't mean that he's playing 'good'. However, I've been obliged by some of his recent stints in-game. Hopefully he can build on those performances

I wasn't in New Orleans, but my All-Star Weekend was pretty eventful, to say the least.

We had played a game in Brooklyn the Wednesday before the break and everyone on our team knew our flights would be canceled out of Charlotte on Thursday because it was storming and the south doesn't handle snow very well. But this is our only break of the entire year, our one chance to briefly escape the NBA grind, and I really didn't want to be stranded in Charlotte for the entire weekend.

Luckily, my teammate Josh McRoberts, who is also from Indiana, was trying to go exactly where I wanted to go: Indianapolis. When we landed back in Charlotte, Josh said, "Why don't we drive?" It was pretty snowy outside, but we didn't want to wait until Friday and risk having the same thing happen at the airport, so we took off. In the middle of the night.

The roads were pretty bad. We took it really slow the first three hours. In all, it ended up taking us about 10 hours to get from Charlotte to Indianapolis and we arrived at 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. We drove all the way through the night and the roads were empty. Josh handled the wheel the entire time, but I tried to stay awake and entertain him. It was kind of fun to chit-chat with him and just talk about everything. We usually sit next to each other on the planes so we know each other pretty well. I let him handle the music on the road trip since he was driving, it was only fair.

Ironically, my brother Tyler (who plays for the Cavaliers), was trying to get to Charlotte while we were leaving because his fiance lives nearby, but his flight out of Cleveland was canceled too. After that, he decided to try and come to Bloomington, Ind. where my other brother Luke and I were going for the weekend, but he got rear-ended about halfway into the trip and decided to turn around. People have no idea how to drive in the snow.

can anyone find any footage of this trip on the net? perhaps some youtube clips or photos? get creative.

He's looking less and less like trash with every game.

He's definitely contributing at the moment and every little bit helps in a playoff race.

I still feel like Charlotte should add a serviceable PF/C for their playoff run if they buyout Ben Gordon like expected, and if there is one available

I still like the pick and think it will pay huge dividends in the future :D

I don't hate it, because we could've done worse by picking Len, McLemore, or Bennett (lol Cavs) but I stand by the opinion that we should've traded the pick for even a half-decent offer.

He doesn't look like a trash fire now, just normal, everyday trash.

This, unfortunately, is closer to the truth than we want to believe.

Yup. He's improved, but he still is atrocious.

Another good game from Zeller. Hope he finishes the season strong.

People can say what they want but I like Zeller's game.

People have killed Zeller this season and for good reason really, but probably not to the extent it has been.

He was horrible to start the season but this version of Zeller we've seen for the last month or so is at least an NBA rotation big imo.

His FG percent is absolutely horrific but aside from that he actually has a well rounded game imo.

Using him exclusively as a stretch 4 has not helped him but he is growing into his role presently and long may it continue.

they're still using him as a stretch 4, but he seems to be doing all of his scoring inside.

mainly on garbage points.

would like to see him get it in the post once or twice.

I have been encouraged by his play the last few weeks. He is learning; and he is just a Rookie. Hoping to see some continued improvement upon which he builds on next season.
