Re: Fake Trade Thread III
Can we stop with all of this hypothetical MKG trade talk?! It would be rather dumb to trade away a player that's basically a premier elite defender in the making in the beginning of his second year in the league. We are not trading MKG. We would trade Hendo attached to both the POR and DET picks before that.

Re: Fake Trade Thread III
Well when I hear the Bobcats front office plans to put MKG on the block I have to guess they're targeting:
Evan Turner
Chandler Parsons
Gordon Hayward
I think it's self explanatory the Bobcats can't be imagining MKG for Durant or Lebron or Melo or any of those all-stars.
The next tier is led by Turner.

Re: Fake Trade Thread III
The only thing that makes me excited for Turner is he brings some playmaker skills. He can initiate the offense, which is something Henderson can not really do. However, I do not really think he is that great of a scorer despite his stats. I feel like he puts up good numbers, just from pure volume of touches and shots, because his team lacks good options.
Trading for Turner would most likely end up being a mistake, because he is not a very good outside shooter, which is our biggest weakness. Let alone that he would have the option of leaving at the end of the season, meaning that if we traded MKG for him that we would be forced to overpay for him because losing him to FA would make the trade even worse.
I would much rather get Jeff Green back in a trade because he is under team control for the next three seasons and his deal is pretty fair at around 9 million. He also has the flexibility to play both the 3 and 4 meaning he is a good player to have to match up with the LeBrons, Melos and Durants of the world. So if we were to deal MKG in that deal he would still give us solid defense, rebounding MKG has, but with adding offense and shooting.
Boston on the other hand is looking like it is heading into a straight rebuild under Brad Stevens. Jeff Green doesn't really seem like the right player to build the team around and Rondo could be on his way out soon as well. Boston already has a handful of young players showing promise as well owing a good amount of first round picks. If they had the opportunity to get MKG, Biz and some picks I think they would be willing to part with both of them.
Charlotte out: MKG, Biz, Sessions, Gordon and Portland Pick
Charlotte in: Jeff Green, Rajon Rondo, and Keith Bogans
Bobcats would get a few established guys to usher in the Hornets name next season while still having a competitive team this season like Jordan wants.
Rondo-Kemba
Henderson- Bogans
Green- Taylor
McBob-Zeller
Jefferson- Adrien?
Kemba would be able to come off the bench as a super scorer and we would have to worry less about him getting his assists up, with Rondo making plays for everybody else on the roster. We would have a really good passing team which would lead to more easy buckets for Zeller and Jefferson inside as well as maybe find Henderson and Taylor slashing more often. Idk if this is the sexiest idea, but I tend to like it more than the whole Luol Deng or Evan Turner route.

Re: Fake Trade Thread III
I think Turner's playmaking helps with ball movement which in its own way fatigues an opponent and creates more open space. We can be a tough, patient offense that really forces defenses to work. We can burn them out until we get an easy shot, in which case Big Al, Kemba and Turner would collect big time, without the requirement of launching 3 pointers. It would be an old school type offense combined with a gritty top 5 defense, led by 3 borderline stars which is as much as you can hope for in a small market where you won't attract a big 3.

Rondo? Let's see how good Rondo is without his plethora of hall of famers around. Not to mention he's coming back off a ACL tear. I would be pissed off if we made a trade for Rondo non-shooting 24% from 3 point land ass. I'm cool with Kemba. WTF

Re: Fake Trade Thread III
I don't understand 'JMAC3''s infatuation with wanting Rajon Rondo either. I've been seeing his proposals that'll net Rondo in return for a while, but I just brush them off. If Charlotte ever has intent to trade for Rondo, they might as well deal Kemba Walker while they are at it, and before the dust settle be sure to acquire at least 2-3 three-point shooters with a career 3P% of nothing less than 40%

Let's. I love how people have undermined Rondo when he was playing with Paul, Ray and KG. Oh boy, are you about to be in for a awakening.

No, no. It's Kemba, MJ, Reggie, then Bird and LeBron.

Ramon Sessions to LAL for Xavier Henry (22 yo, 39% from 3) + the ghost of Chris Kaman (expiring)?

In regards to the Asik trade with Houston, I wonder who Cho was thinking of sending out in that trade, Biz?

Only players I'd be willing for us to trade are Ramon Sessions, Ben Gordon, Jannero Pargo, Gerald Henderson, Anthony Tolliver, and Brendan Haywood.

Nash is semi retiring, apparently, Blake is out with injury and so is Farmar. And Sessions would fit well in Pringles system.

Kaman's fallen out of the rotation and is complaining.
Chris Kaman signed with the Los Angeles Lakers because he thought he would have a prominent part to play with the team, but that is not the case. As a result, Kaman is not thrilled with his current limited role off the bench.
"It's absolutely not what I was looking for," Kaman told ESPNLosAngeles.com on Monday. "It's not really in my control. I just try to keep working hard and be ready if the time comes. And if it doesn't, then it just wasn't meant to be."
I like Henry's game this year. He's expiring, and I figure the LAL will have bigger fish to fry this summer in FA and Henry will look to get paid. Plus they have Wesley Johnson hitting threes at 42%, to take Henry's minutes. All their PGs are hurt (Nash, Farmar, Blake), so Kobe is playing PG. So I thought they might be desperate enough for an above average PG they will pull the trigger on Henry.
And, though I thought Ramon wanted to be here, sounds like he'd be happy back in LA too.
“I think about it at times,” Sessions said Saturday. “It’s one of those things that when I opted out, I wasn’t expecting to leave. I was expecting to work something out. But you know how the NBA business is.
BTW,this deal is all about getting the up and coming Henry, I don't care about Kaman, but he's needed to balance the money and seems suddenly expendable.

Re: Fake Trade Thread III
In ANY potential trade our most attractive, non-radical assets are Sessions, Henderson, Gordon and McRoberts. I'm not ready to part with Kemba, MKG or Biz (admittedly I am one of Biz's biggest fans). I can tell you right now, if we trade MKG to another team, they will actually give him minutes, lets say 30mpg, and he'll average a double double. My least favorite person on this team is starting to become Clifford because he WILL NOT play MKG and Biz the minutes they deserve.
I'm starting to come around to the idea of trading Kemba though, just not all the way there. He in my mind is a good point guard, can definitely score, but he doesn't look like he has the makings of a top 5 pg ever. He is embattled with inconsistency, and he is by no means a great facilitator. Trading him now is the exact opposite direction of win now, but we could net some great picks or young talent in return for him. I wouldn't though trade him in any deal for Rondo
Preferably, we keep Kemba for now, and trade Henderson. Obviously we wouldn't be able to trade him solely in a trade because, A, he wouldn't net much on his own and B, we need to get his replacement in a deal. We could package Henderson with picks or the likes of Sessions, Gordon and get a solid return. The 2 guard replacement we would get would have to be a great 3pt shooter for obvious reasons. Gordon may not get moved this trade deadline, but if we are completely out of it, Sessions would be a great trade possibility. He is cheap, good scorer on a second unit, gets to the foul line a bunch and can finish with reliability around the rim. In no way am I saying I want to trade for Evan Turner either because I don't think he is the answer either. Last season this entire board was proclaiming how he was a bust and how stupid the Sixers were for drafting him and now all of a sudden he's a revelation? No thanks, Ill pass on him as well

Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere
