Also Roberts fits in the room exception. So we actually have a shade under $4M in actual cap space should we decide to use any more of it. $3,977,981

Well, yeah, that's if we move over the salary cap.

Thanks, and I loved me some Tim Hardaway during his Warriors and Heat days

I'll second that.

My favorite point guards during that era were Isiah Thomas, Tim Hardaway, and Rod Strickland. That was when I was first introduced to basketball and I marveled at the way they played. To this very day, I still watch highlight reels of them and try to emulate a few of their moves on the basketball court

Yeah I LOVED ISAIAH, I actually have him in my top 10 of all times and my Uncle who was a REALLY good street ball player grew up and played with Strickland. I met Rod on two occasions. Always loved his game

Oh well, his current deal is solid, especially the short years (3-years) with the team option. That's very evident that Cho don't trust Stephenson with a 3 foot pole

I was so sure he would earn 10 million or above that I totally forgot my side of the bet. I was looking forward to waking up and seeing the Hornets logo on your profile. ****

Where is the Hendo move I was hoping Cho worked tirelessly to line up following this signing? Too soon? It's coming imo. Lance is a risk as it is. It's so hard to believe Hendo is earning 6 million to Lance's 9 to Hayward's 16. There must be a market for Henderson, even if it's one team looking to not get embarrassed every game (Philly) yet still tank safely.

What are the odds Neal or Henderson get moved? Neal, Taylor, and Hairston are probably left out of the rotation as of now.

We could easily dump Henderson on Philly, it might only cost us a 2nd rounder. HInkie seems to have an obsession with stockpiling them.

Welcome to Charlotte Lance Stephenson!

Post#1456 » by BobsBuddy » Wed Jul 16, 2014 2:32 pm

:D :D :D Honestly AT first I was agaist Lance coming to Charlotte, but now all of us need to be behind him.
The Hornets have taken a chance that Lance will be the third piece to the puzzle for Bees to be top
4 in Eastern Conference. Cho was brillant with 3 years(3rd TEAM OPTION) 27.5 million $ bet on him and now it's up to Lance to WALK THE TALK! I agree with the move. Lance...IT's up to you so DON'T SCREW IT UP!!!

We need to Move a SG now that we have 4 under contract and add a big man.

It sucks that we'll probably not acquire Jeremy Lamb now that we've signed our SG of the future in Lance Stephenson, but I want to say "there's still a chance" in a Henderson trade to land Lamb as a 2nd string SG. Henderson would be a good fit on OKC between Russell Westbrook & Kevin Durant, and as it currently stands Lamb is the only SG on their depth chart

McRoberts would benefit so much from a player like Lance as you can see Scola and West did with those P&Rs. I'm wondering how much better he can make MKG...MKG needs to find his way into the lane more.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
