You DO NOT draft a player who cannot create his own shot, and has trouble shooting.

And you support drafting MKG?????????

So that excludes drafting Anthony Davis, Thomas Robinson, Andre Drummond, Brad Beal too rite?

What are you talking about Stun? You (we) have no idea what Cho thinks about any prospect.

that statement was under the assumption that the rumor AnahiemRoyale said was true, that we gave a promise to Barnes

Excellent article. But the writer who picked MKG does what so many are doing here; ASSuming that he can be TAUGHT to have a quality jump shot. Folks, that is not an assumption one makes at junior high, high school or college, so why do people ASSume it's so much easier at the NBA level??? Again, I challenge everyone...name me more than a handful of players who had broken shooting mechanics coming into the league, and developed a butter jumper later??

The write up on Beal made good points about a player on the rise even as a freshman.

But read the article about Robinson without being prejudiced. The points are valid. Robinson will give us a major player at a key position, and provide post offense, rebounding, defense and heart to pair with Biz, Kemba & Hendo. We need to find a way to trade back up into the middle of the round to get a SF. Getting Robinson and another rookie starter at the 3 would be a blast. Yes, we would struggle as we grow, but we would compete and win more games. My ideal draft is Robinson and Perry Jones 3 or Harkless. I think Dunlap would love to add his guy to the new team. NBA mock has him going 19th. Maybe we can get a deal done with Houston for #16.

PG - Kemba
SG - Hendo
SF - Harkless
PF - Robinson
C - Biz

Key Reserves - Mullens, Maggs, Tyrus, DJ?, free agent?

Only thing, perry jones is a pf

I highly doubt we gave a promise to anyone.

Hell why would we need to???

Yea, it's really stupid. I went back a few pages to see who suggested that.

Why would Barnes cancel his workout with the Kings?

Sorry bro, I'mma gonna have to flag you for poor analogy. Marion was an unbelievable athletic freak and had enough size to play PF effectively. We're talking about a guy that guarded and scored on LeBron enough last year to help the Mavs win the title.

MKG has neither the size (unless he grows) or the athleticism to even touch Marion's level IMO.

They scheduled a work out with him, so the idea they don't want him is a stretch, especially since if they wanted someone else, then the Kings would have even more incentive to bring him over for a work out as a smokescreen. Sorry, but we've seen this before, and it seems clear Barnes thinks he's going top 4, otherwise he'd have no reason to cancel... which almost certainly means he's going top 4. The Hornets are out, and the Cavs and Wizards seem long shots in light of the noises coming out of there... that leaves you guys...

I think that Beal is still 18 too? At least for another month or something?

Guys cancel workouts for lots of reasons, like he couldn't make the flight or something. I'm not reading any more into it than necessary.

And Drummond is even younger but that works against him for some reason.

Sorry, but WE have seen this before.

Brandon Roy cancelled with us.............twice and we had the 3rd overall pick. It's not like he had a promise from the 1st or 2nd picking team.

There are a number of factors, such as prospects individual workout schedules dictating when and where they will be in the country at any given time to players agents simply not wanting their player auditioning for a team they don't want drafting their player.

The Matrix was a freak. Hence the name the matrix lol.

I like MKGs hustle but you've got to do more than hustle to get picked 2 overall. I don't think the rest of his game compensates for his poor jumper form.

When there is a consensus #1 pick and you own the #2 pick, you don't promise it to anyone. You essentially have the number 1 pick. I guess if the promise is "We promise to take you at 4 if you're there and we trade with Cleveland."

I can believe Roy just didn't want to go to your team, because it was really bad. No offence, but the Kings with Cousins, in LA, isn't the Bobcats, I think you know what I'm getting at here. There's no reason for Barnes agent to pull out in this instance that makes nearly as much sense as the obvious reason- the guy got told he's being taken top 4. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong, but that's the answer Occam's Razor is giving me.

The simplest answer for why Barnes cancelled his workout with the Kings is because the Bobcats PROMISED to take him at #2?

The simplest answer is he knows he's going top 4. It doesn't mean the Bobcats promised, it might mean other things, but the Bobcats telling him they're taking him (or trading down to take him) is the most likely.
