I dont want Barnes. But Hendo+2015 1st rounder MUST worth something.
Jeff Green would be an enormous upgrade, and with 1 year guaranteed money, it's just perfect. If he picks up his player option, it's still 2016, which is the time we want big money to spend.

Hendo-Hairston-1st rounder? What do you think? Too much PFs, I know...

In my eyes, we don't have not one serviceable PF, so bringing on Jeff Green who happen to play his best as a 'stretch 4' (about a 17 PER) would be perfect

Jeff Green is a great option and exactly what we need. I'm just not sure how realistic it is in acquiring him.

We could still use some more shooting. Jeff Green made 135 threes last season. No one on our team made more than 109.

I would much, much rather have Green than Williams but they're more or less the same player. We aren't trading for Green with Marvin on the roster.

I think Boston would be all over this the second they commit to a full rebuild. If Kevin Love is not attainable, I could see Green and Rondo traded this offseason.

Exactly my thinking. This would create too much of a logjam at the 3 and 4 spots unless our young guys (MKG, Zeller, Vonleh) take a cut in minutes for both Green and Marvin to get the majority of the playing time.

fuuck. I screwed a pooch with my attempt of being BlackOutBobcat.

I think it's okay now.

Al Jefferson - $13,666,667
Lance Stephenson - $9,000,000
Marvin Williams - $7,000,000
Gerald Henderson - $6,000,000
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - $5,016,960
Cody Zeller - $4,030,560
Gary Neal - $3,250,000
Bismack Biyombo - $3,873,898
Kemba Walker - $3,272,091
Brian Roberts - $2,732,000
Jeffrey Taylor - $915,243
Noah Vonleh (Rookie cap hold) - $2,103,500
PJ Hairston (Rookie cap hold) - $958,100

Total guaranteed - $61,819,019
Total salary - $61,819,019
Cap - $63,065,000

Cap space - $1,245,981

Ha! Of course this happens when I'm asleep. Hopson was sent to NO for cash, and then to Houston as part of the Asik deal. As was mentioned, Roberts will get the Room Exception, which is the MLE for teams with cap room. So we're just shy of $4m in space with 13 guys on the roster.

Vonleh is going to be nearly as raw as Cody Zeller was. Its obvious. He'll be good one day, but if we want to win in the next couple of years, which we clearly do, we need to start someone else. Even Marvin would be better for us at 4. He knows how to play within himself and help the team. Vonleh would turn it over with his tunnel vision and that's nothing against him, he's an 18 year old rookie. Zeller is more ready to start than him, but I dont know if we really want that either.
The Lamb flock's vision has come true.

There is definitely a huge holdup on the trade market because of Kevin Love. I'm intrigued by the possibility Cho was working on something all along because you just know he had intel about Lance on the verge of signing with Dallas before Parsons wasn't matched. How could he not be in contact with Lance's agent and not know that? Dallas seemed to be Lance's first choice and for all that time to go by without the Hornets knowing it, I just can't fathom it. They knew. So let's see what kind of traction Cho got. If Love is moved and Cho does not participate as a third party or feast in the aftermath or do anything with a team frozen by the Love talks, then I will be extremely disappointed.

It was a weak plan...

Cho has been crapping 4-leaf clovers all offseason between the lottery, Vonleh falling, the Rockets inexplicably gambling away Parsons then not matching. Cho was rebuffed on all his highly prioritized plans, Henderson + 24 for Afflalo, Hayward matched.

This guy almost struck out.

Bash me all y'all want, but I refuse to give Cho much credit for this signing. I'm under the belief that Jordan (the owner) put the call in...

This offseason was headed towards near destruction, and remember it's Jordan's reputation that's on the line to the general public whenever the Charlotte Hornets fail, not Cho

Cho's plan B was highly suspect now that we know Stephenson was on the verge of signing with Dallas (probably for over 10 million BTW). He lucked into the 9th pick. He lucked into Vonleh who was supposed to go top 5. He lucked into Lance and probably was pressured by Jordan to sign him. Houston not matching on Parsons saved Cho's ass on this new Hornets kickoff.

When Afflalo opts out, they need to sign him.

Are you just speculating based off the rumors about Dallas going after Lance or did something leak this morning that that Stephenson was on the verge of signing with Dallas?

Well Cho is a bad GM right, so he probably didn't know? It's all just luck - doubt he does any work or plans at all. It's all mother karma at work.

Eventually I will stop, but this is the first time I've heard you suggest that MAYBE Cho had a grip on the situation and has some responsibility for our good fortunes.

Not that I know of, he mostly tells me stories of Rod and Pearl Washington playing against them on Gouchos when he was playing with Kenny Smith on Riverside Church

damn. a duo of Rod and Pearl Washington...

Yeah, I have to ask my Uncle who else was on his team and Pearls. He told me that Pearl used to practice with 2 balls and noone could steal the balls. My Uncle said he and a friend once SWIPED the ball away but never stole it from Pearl. My Uncle was really really good in ball. He was only 6 feet tho but so good. I love when he tells me the stories of so many he has played with over the years. His room used to be filled with trophies just like those all americans

Hornets don't have cap room for Green. I say get Barnes with Hendo and next yrs first rounder. Saves cap as Barnes is set to make 3mill this yr and 5 next..

Hendo is set to make 6 mill per next few years.

I think Harrison Barnes is one of the most underrated young players in the league.

Props to MKIA who never wavered in his conviction about Lance's value. He was spot on.

I was certain that Lance could not be had at that amount. Even when potential suitors were signing other guys, I thought for sure he'd get at least $10M.

We'll have enough money for Jeff Green if we trade Henderson in the ordeal attached to a 2nd rounder and maybe Jeff Taylor

However, I wouldn't mind Harrison Barnes in exchange for Henderson, but the media world would go crazy on the Warriors for excepting that deal even though 2nd year Henderson was better than 2nd year Barnes, and is still currently a better overall player that could help Golden State

I think sign Boozer to a 1 or 2 year deal as insurance with the remaining cash we have

It wasn't that bad of a contract. It's just that he's so untradeable and there weren't any other evident bidders at the time that we'd have to believe that he could've been had for less
