miles is lucky local and national media didn't really pick up on the deleted tweet because it was about as low class as it gets.
miles is toxic. his gf is toxic. just hold your breath and hope we can trade him next summer for equal value before he does something really bad again. its only a matter of time.
I am not annoyed by the tweet, just more so the poster because he is basically a TMZ account for the Hornets. 90% is negative, but the other 10% he is quotes old tweets to pat himself on the back as if he was right all along. He also used to pretend to have sources on the team and put out a bunch of fake rumor stuff a few years ago. Dude is desperate for attention, just was pointing out I am not a fan of the content he provides.

Sometimes principles matter and to excuse the person he is when he is the 3rd best player on the 4th worst team in the league is pathetic tbh.

Re: Woj: Miles is back - 3 years, $75M
yeah I'm not trying to hear any "stop talking about why you don't like Miles" at all. he got paid and instantly wanted to change the narrative around what happened. what he plead no contest to. foh with that. I've already been quiet about the Hornets bringing him back. I dislike it. for anyone who's keeping tabs on who feels that way, add me to the list. maybe I'll bring it up again at some point. so what. I know I can't change it. this is the price the Hornets pay by having him on the team.

Lets just say, Miles is lucky he plays for a team in a smaller Market with not much media coverage. If he played for a more popular team there would be 20 TMZ like accounts following his every move.JMAC3 wrote:fatlever wrote:not sure why anyone is annoyed at the guy that simply posted a screenshot of a tweet that millions of people saw before miles deleted it. it's not like he was the only one who screenshoted what he said. and miles is the one who tweeted out something he never ever should have said, let alone on social media.

how does lillard compare in this situation? its not the rapping, its the lyrics and the image miles is hellbent on portraying of himself as a womanizing gangbanger from the streets, in the aftermath of his arrest. the rapping and lyrics would be whatever to me, unless... you were suspended for a season for beating your wife in front of your kids a week after being seen **** up on purple drink and blunts. then given a 2nd chance and huge contract, these are the lyrics you choose?
its like ja morant painting guns on the side of his car. or desean watson opening a massage parlor. or or p diddy throwing a huge freak off party in prison.
it just shows miles inability to accept responsibility for what happened and his ongoing disrespect of women, even after being ordered by the court to go to counseling for his treatment of women.
its a huge **** you to the hornets, women and fans who think he is capable of not being a selfish moron.
so, yes, its just rapping and lyrics... whatever.. but in this situation, its poor judgement from a guy with a history of poor judgement
he'll **** up again. just watch.

Those lyrics are so cringe. He tried to take stuff from Kendrick and it just is bad. Yikes

Maybe. Who knows. Song lyrics still aren't serious in my eyes.

Re: Woj: Miles is back - 3 years, $75M
Long interview with Miles - https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/charlotte-hornets/article292866079.html
Like this bit about the new health staff:

Like this bit about the new health staff:
That’s when Bridges mentioned the notable change that’s invigorating the players: the Hornets’ 10-person health and performance staff led by vice president Trent Salo. Charlotte was second only to Memphis in player games lost due to injury the last two seasons and they hope that dubious distinction is finally halted under the new staff.
“They’ve been crazy good with everything,” Bridges said. “They have us doing workouts that we’ve never done before, stretches that we’ve never done before. Melo and Brandon (Miller), they both have been wearing ankle braces. So, they play attention to a lot of detail and I feel like that is going to play a big part in our offseasons.”
One of the philosophies of the Hornets’ new health and performance staff centers around serving as examples, living by the same guidelines they’ve bestowed upon the players.
It’s apparently inspired Bridges & Co. quite a bit.
“I feel like they do a better job of holding us accountable,” Bridges said. “When we first came in for summer league, they asked us our goals and they actually want us to follow through and reach our goals. So, I thought they did a great job with that and just knowing like when we have a hard day, two hard days, the next day is going to be more like a light day, like a mobility type day.
“They have that type of stuff that will help us out with when to go hard and when to be a little light.”

Kind of crazy that the players are getting excited about having a functional training staff for the first time in 20 years.

Re: Woj: Miles is back - 3 years, $75M
**** like that seems almost a given. Teams invest hundreds of millions into player salaries every year, you'd think they would protect that by having the best training staff possible.
At my old job we had a full staff of performance coaches, trainers, dieticians, psychs, etc with most being pulled from pro or high end college teams. And I wasn't making pro ball money.
Really highlighting how amateur Jordan & Co were

Jordan - love the player, terrible owner this just proves it. I wonder how he would of reacted if he was on the playing staff.

Re: Woj: Miles is back - 3 years, $75M
I can only assume that Jordan's approach to ownership was basically, and the '80s I played 82 games, flew in a crappy airplane, stayed out all night drinking smoking cigars. we had one trainer, stayed in a Comfort Inn by the airport, and I won six rings, so if I can do it they can do it. Oh and I'm cheap, so **** them kids.
