2025 Draft Prospect Thread

Dash Daniels is in next years draft I think... Looks just like his brother... Wonder if he a stud like him. I just realized we never really had a good SG in Charlotte. Crash, Rice, and Mash were SF's...Gill, Jones and Curry were decent but not really GOOD. Wonder why we have neglected to even try to fill that void as of late... Sometimes you have to fill out the roster to really see what you have...

This year noone can accuse me of not paying attention to the FAVORITES cause I have Harper, VJ and Richardson as the top 3 picks lol.

I think he would be someone we consider outside that top 5. Fits in nicely at that sg spot. I know people think he's a PG, but I think he's more of a combo guard at 6'9. I think he needs to add strength he has pretty decent skills otherwise.

I never saw the hype at all from the start... I guess that is why he dropped out of the top of many mocks... Only big PG's I like are

VJ is gonna bust so hard. Feels like VJ is the Scoot of this draft.

I just don't see the hype. Athletic guard, not really a great scorer. People say his strength is defense, but I watched Duke attack him specifically. Also his size no chance that dude is a legit 6'5.


Not sure what a 6'3 athletic guard does for this team. He's not a natural playmaker either more of a connector type.

Dash is meant to be a better scorer but has gotten a fair bit of hype already

For the longest I thought Chase Hunter was just a PG but I think now he is a legit COMBO / SG. Dude looks so much like Curry lol. But I am starting to like his value. 6'4 and has a real feel for the game... Might be the SG we need... We really need a SG. I am even considering HUGO GONZALEZ with the top 5 pick...

The kid is nearly 6’10” now, we need someone low to the ground who can actually stay in front of these shifty ball handlers.

Our lack of defensive playmaking is a huge issue, and a big reason is our team is full of these skinny lanklets who don’t know how to pressure the ball

Yeah i get it but while Miller is still reasonably slight, he can hold down the guard spot if we get Flagg.
I still want a good POA defender as well, so the coach has that tool in his belt if needed. Can always play with the lineup.

I will admit I often do lean towards going big with lineups. I'm a little UNCNYC with my coaching suggestions, in that I will often suggest unusual lineups just because they are oversized.

Good for you. I'm also one of the few who is not sold on VJ. Honestly I'm just not a fan of any small guard who's not a traditional PG. VJ is in that Dmitch/Wade body, but I just don't see that kind of ability with his game. He shows flashes, but it's not consistently.

People may say I like Fears and he's small, but he's a true PG! That's the difference. I don't want my sg to be 6'3. We already have that with Mann. If we going small guard just get a true PG that allows Melo to slide over to SG.

I'm focused on 4 players in this draft Flagg/Harper/Fears/Bailey. If we land outside the top 4 I would be disappointed.

Dunno why I keep questioning the Flagg pick for us if he lands... It's like I can see a playoff series with us going against say Dylan and Flagg being the more ROLE player while Dylan the STAR... I do think Flagg will be at least serviceable but not sold on FRANCHISE player... I still think he is worth the gamble tho... I keep seeing slightly better than Gordan Hayward, which is good since Gordan was a good player...
