7th in MVP voting, can't make an All-Star team. Has there been a more paradoxical player?

That would be Chris Sheridan who somehow gets a vote.

Old Tricky Ricky didn't even vote for Jefferson, instead fawning over Kevin Love. The guy from the Boston Globe voted Jefferson 3rd behind Durant and Lebron.

The Jefferson votes seem to be all over the East. Milwaukee, Atlanta, Chicago, etc.

Rick Bonnell is a hater. I'm not usually for somebody getting fired but he shouldn't be writing for a team that he has dislike for. He may not outright say that he dislike the team but it's kinda obvious. He's quicker to tweet something bad about the team than something good. When we win he disappear from Twitter.

To all Charlotte Hornets fans, Rick Bonnell should be referred to as a 'buzzkill'

I'm with you guys on Bonnell. If you don't enjoy covering the team (and he clearly doesn't) then you have no business being the beat writer. Since the team is on the upswing now and people are becoming more positive I hope the Observer will come to the same conclusion and find someone that actually enjoys covering the Hornets for a living.

Do you know that best teammate award that Shane Battier just won? Al finished second in the voting. Every player in the league votes, however, you can't vote for a current teammate.

Haha, do they show the rankings? I wonder what the highest ranking Kobe ever got was?

Oh and yea, good for Al. You can tell everyone just loves him. So glad we added him in last summer. Best free agent signing in Charlotte history with nods to David Wesley and Bobby Phills.

This is the second year this award has been given out. Chauncey Billups won it last year.

All I've read is that Al was 2nd and Dirk was 3rd.

I wonder if his foot is fully healed or if he's just out there to get some shots up to keep the touch

Al Jefferson is back in Charlotte and already busting out the jokes. "I keep telling them to stop scheduling workouts, they're not going to find anyone like me!" Welcome back, Big Al!

Al Jefferson will be named All-NBA today, I do believe.
@rick_bonnell

Apparently he has a news conference coming up in five minutes.

Story prematurely posted on the Hornets app says third team (kinda lame), but has Xs where the votes and other players will be listed.

Edit: Not found on browser, still up on the app though.

The campaign that Charlotte's brass pushed with 'Big Al's Paint' worked. Congratulations Al Jefferson, much deserved on a great season. I was probably the biggest proponent of the Jefferson signing on this board, and it's nice to see him pulling through for the team with high accolades
