BTW my original post was not intended just to slight Booker. The point was that this team looks likely to draft a SG next week, and Hendo being back pushes the draftee further down the playing chart (Hendo, PJ, Daniels...). Who are we going to draft at 9 that is going to come in and take PT from the incumbents and make any kind of impact? Booker will be 18 when the NBA season starts. Do you see Clifford playing him? Last year with Vonleh getting no PT was frustrating! I'm not looking forward to another callow draft pick that doesn't play for a year.

With everyone coming back and Cliff being unable to make any adjustments I do not think we can draft a player who will get minutes. I am not sure he would play Russell or Okafor at this point. He just has no mind for the offensive side of the ball at all.

We need someone that will at least take PJ's spot as backup SG.

Makes me wonder just who in the heck and when we're going to get someone to help Clifford with the offense. There was a rumor that we were trying to get Scalabrine, but I've heard nothing else recently.

Here's an idea…

The person we should get to help Cliff with the offense is CHO. Jesus Christ.

They're not mutually exclusive, Cho needs to move Henderson/Williams/Jefferson/etc. for better fitting pieces and we need a coach that understands how to put players in the right positions to be successful offensively.

I want both to happen as soon as possible, but if given a choice I'd rather have a new coach in first. The more time he has to work with our coaching staff and existing players to implement a new offensive system the better. I hope both are done by the 2nd week in July. We've waiting too long to hire an offensive coach if you ask me. I think that's equally on both Cho and Clifford.

But then a new coach inherits a roster in desperate need of "better fitting pieces" and you never get to see how the current coach (who has a good relationship with the core of players who would be staying) does with these new pieces.

The bottom line is, Cho hasn't done enough to deserve to hide behind a coaching change. That would extend his terrible leadership. If the team fails he has at least equal blame and the scale tips for me because Cliff has established a good relationship with the core of players who are staying and newcomers like to play for him. He has a reputation of being a player's coach and that's rare in the NBA. What has Cho done to merit a second chance with a coaching change?

I'm not talking about replacing Clifford, I'm talking about hiring an offensive coordinator for him. Clifford has proven he doesn't know how to design an offense to get our players in their most capable positions to succeed offensively. Henderson and Marvin in the corners this past year is one of the more egregious examples.

Are we turning every thread into a Cho vendetta?

Cho got Cliff what he wanted and Cliff screwed it up. Cliff could make any player look bad on offense. I think the only mistake Cho is making is keeping Cliff.

Cho will fail to move Hendo + Al + Marv for better fitting pieces. Cho brought in Neal and Mo the past 2 deadlines (Cliff really bombed that, huh?). Cho has not selected a shooter in the lottery 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014. Cliff really put the exclamation mark on that streak huh?

MI, you have somehow managed to derail just about every thread on the front page since your return. Anyway, lets keep this thread to discussions specifically related to Henderson and not grand anti arguments against Cho and Clifford. Thanks.

I apologize. I'm angry with the inflexibility of the roster and that has been stoked by Hendo and Al opting in.

Watch him go to Portland and learn how to shoot.

I have a gut feeling in my stomach that both Vonleh and Henderson are gonna be much better in Portland and Batum much worse in Charlotte.

Hate this trade. Hate it.

The trade shows that we just wanted to get rid of him at any cost. Basically attached a 1st to him for a slight upgrade wing that don't even really belong at SG. Lol. I wonder what deals were on the table for Hendo before this one. Prolly backups. Lol
