I have never understood what the hell is going on with those blackouts in the Carolinas for Hornets games.

is it something similar to the NFL blackouts where a game has to have 100% attendance for it to be shown in the local market?

A couple years ago I just cut out soda pretty abruptly, was easier than I expected, though I'd have a Pepsi now and then if I ordered something that came with a drink. I've always loved just plain old, boring water, so that helped. I've never liked Mountain Dew though, but I know I'm the only human that hates it.

But then a few months ago the wife bought a soda stream...

Stopped drinking soda and pretty much any other sugary drink about two years ago, including sweet tea unfortunately. I stay to water, coffee, and Gatorade... It's that damn alcohol that gets me though

Yeah I don't even care for coffee. Water, beer, and my biggest weakness...orange soda, via the soda steam.

Not that I know of. My problem has always been that I fall into a gray area between "local" and "national," because these regions are determined by different entities.

Basically, by market standards I'm not in the Charlotte market; being just over 100 miles out of the area makes me a "national" viewer, and thus unable to view the games on local channels. (Yet despite this convoluted rationale I instead get Hawks games on local channels...what).

However, by League Pass standards, by living within the state (maybe both Carolinas, not sure) I am inherently "local," so the games are not available on LP.

So in the end I have access to games of 28 teams, all but the Hornets and whoever they're playing.

Just sayin, it's worth it. On demand access to all NBA games with no blackouts.

Tried to sign up tonight and it appears they are not taking on new subscribers?

Yeah they've said they're having billing issues, not sure what the deal is. I think they're probably about to fold, but who knows.

I've always hated coffee. And as I get older, my desire to have any booze decreases. I probably haven't had a beer in 2 years. Couldn't care less about drinking. And even though I like juice, I never buy it. I do love me some Gatorade though and sweet tea when its made correctly... and of course The Dew.

This discussion needs more animal crackers.

Fats favorite beverages

1. Mountain Dew "yellow drink"
2. Water
3. Bojangles Sweat Tea (or similar)
4. Dr. Pepper
5. Frozen strawberry/lemonade from McDonald's
6. Gatorade (lemon lime, lemonade, and the purple frost)
7. Smoothie (peach/banana or something similar)
8. lemonade (freshly made, not that **** in a can)
9. Other poor imitations of "yellow drink" (Sun Drop, Mellow Yellow)
10. Orange juice

HM: Bloody Mary (spicy)

I can't even comprehend the idea of waking up at 4. I had to wake up today at 7:45 for a fantasy basketball draft with the Australians and I felt like I was going to die. I'd probably need a few lines of coke and a car battery to the heart to wake up that early.

I just don't drink coffee, period. Never have, never will and don't really see a use for it in my case.

Beer - I'm a real beer snob, I like it too much
Dr. Pepper
Rum with coke
Laimon - a carbonated lemon, lime and mint drink we have over here
Screwdriver
Minttu - Finnish peppermint liquor
Mendeleev cocktail - vodka, rum, tequila, jagermeister, absinth, energy drink, triple sec

Now that I think about it, I rarely get a craving for any everyday beverage. I might buy Dr. Pepper or that Laimon from time to time. Other than that drinks which I really enjoy mostly are alcoholic.

I just drink water on a casual day. If I have something sweet at home then I like to drink milk or tea (handpicked tea. bet none of you do that **** in the US) besides it.

watching the MLB playoffs makes me jealous. that league has really good parity, who in the world would've thought the Jays,Royals,Mets and Cubs would've all made the playoffs let alone make it to the conference finals.

It was all part of my calculated risk. I got the guy at #6, that I would have taken at #3. Yay me.

I picked up Stanley Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, Myers Leonard and Amir Johnson today for fantasy (we keep 13 players, out of 17 man rosters)

I had the 8th pick and selected Myles Turner, Alec Burks, Roy Hibbert and Isiah Canaan.

I addressed most of my needs so I'm not upset with my draft (especially if Turner really pans out) - although I really wanted Stanley Johnson and tried to trade up to get him.

P*ssed he fell to #6. Shocked Porzingas was taken top #5 pushing Johnson down.

Another year, another living situation where the Hornets aren't on my tv :banghead: maybe I'll break down and just buy ballstreams or something for this season

Return to Charlotte Hornets
