We couldn’t give the #11 as free agency is after the draft. Allen is also rumored to want 4 yrs $100mill. If we pay him $25mill, what other cap room would we have??

I love Allen, but would rather focus efforts on getting Holmes who is unrestricted and is rumored to want 4 yrs $80mill.

I’d start Mobley at power forward next to Allen, give him time to bulk up, go for a Spurs twin tower look.

They'd probably ask for the moon so I'll pass.

If we were to get him, I’d wanna slide Hayward to the 2, Miles to SF and then Siakam to the 4. While the Raptors might be interested in #11 and PJ, we’d probably need a 3rd team that wants Rozier and could give the Raptors more assets. But even then, that would limit our ability to go after Holmes and still re-sign Graham.

With that said, I dunno if we’d be able to make it work.

If all it takes to get Hield is Kuzma then i feel like we can match that. He'd be a great fit at the 2 IMO

Rozier > Hield

Monk at ~ $10M > Hield

I'd take a hard pass on Hield.

Dudes got 3 years and $60mil left on his contract - and I'm not a fan of his game at all. He takes 14 FGA's a game and 10 of them are from 3.

I'd like a SG who has 3 level scoring and isn't a matador on defence.

Besides all that, I don't really like his face and his hair is just "so-so".

He also turns 29 in December, so he's basically as good as he's ever going to be

It's becoming increasingly obvious that the media looks at our roster, sees that we only have 1 true centre under contract next season (Vern) + 1 undersized centre (PJ) so they write an article attaching us to any and all FA's centers on the market.

In the last two weeks alone, there has been articles published saying we have reached out to or have interest in:
Harrell
Noel
Allen
Holmes
Turner

Writing an article about us and a centre is just low hanging fruit at this point and much of it feels like conjecture to me.

I have a feeling we are the team that is taking Harrell for free to help out the Lakers in a 3 team trade

Didn't he choose less money to play elsewhere before when we offered him?

If so, **** that guy

Harrell sucks anyway and does not address our needs at Center at all.

Believe we offered him something like 15 a year to come here and he chose to play for the Lakers

Shams said Hornets and the Pels have been interested in Turner

[Fischer] Both the Hornets and Pacers, the two Eastern Conference play-in teams who did not advance, would seemingly have interest in moving their picks at Nos. 11 and 13, respectively.

I'd be pretty upset if we traded 11th for Turner. Although just sliding back to 13th would be fine, but the question is who do we trade to make salaries work?

The only one we have is Hayward who is near Turners salary.

It was thought the Pacers wanted Hayward back when he was with Boston. Returns him to his home state plus fits a need. We’d need a lot more back than Turner but I still think this becomes a very likely path our FO takes.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

The significant trade kicker on Hayward's contract would make it tough. He might waive the kicker, but that's not how NBA econ works. Looks to me this would be a step sideways move.
