Re: Around the NBA 11
You don't think bouk and Kai have glaring weaknesses for their positions?
Segun is one of those dude who just clearly knows how to play. He might get played off the floor in playoffs in the wrong match ups, but that's true with most bigs these days.

Enes Kanter had some great stat years too before it came time to play winning basketball and people stopped caring what his stat line was.

As far as what he has done in NBA, I am still pretty meh on him. He was fed minutes on a team that was trying to lose and won 20 games. I am pretty confident Bouknight would of put up solid numbers on a chucking Houston team that was all about playing the young guys.
Guess we will have to see, but longterm I think Sengun has glaring weaknesses.
I honestly doubt you've watched him play much. Like, if youre seriously talking about him being similar to Kanter lol.
Hes barely 20 and already the best player from Turkey, which is a pretty good basketball country. He didn't just have one good game against Belgum. He averaged 16.5/8.2/2.2 for the tournament and his team was the closest of anyone to defeating the eventual winning France team (lost by 1 in overtime in the 1st round of the bracket).
He also wasn't force fed minutes on Houston. Thats the exact opposite of reality. His minutes were limited most of the year because he was stuck behind Christian Wood (his high foul rate didn't help). He actually had the second best BPM on the team among regular rotation players behind Wood.
Hes way ahead of both Bouk and Kai despite being a couple years younger.

Re: Around the NBA 11
Anyone here interested in Udoka as Clifford's possible successor? Udoka might be on the way out because of this Boston mess.

Maybe, but would be horrendously bad optics in light of the Miles situation.

Shewww I'd love to have Udoka but I have a feeling there's way more to this. For one was it consensual or not? They denied to comment on that at press conference. Very sketchy

Yeah we can't...especially after Miles. Zero chance.

I don't think saying he is ahead of Bouk and Kai is all that impressive. He simply played more than them so far, my concern with Sengun wasn't he suck from day 1. My concerns are he is undersized for the center position long-term with meh athleticism, so yes he could look good early like a Kanter before eventually being an energy big once he is off his rookie contract the team stops caring so much about developing and cares more about winning. Pretty much the career path of Kanter.
You are right he is solid on Turkey, who have two bench players in the NBA in Korkmaz and Osman as the other 2 NBA guys. Again he is fine not someone I regret we didn't draft for years and years. He was shut down vs France with 8/5 while Gobert dropped 20/17.
His three best games came against Belgium, Georgia, Bulgaria.. who had 1 nba player combined who was Mamukelashvili who dropped 20/12 on him and some random dude from Bulgaria dropped 28/15 on him.
I am sure he will put up solid garbage time stats for Houston this year as they win 22 games.

Whats wrong with Draymond and Poole. They are too grown for that ratchetness. Especially Draymond. I can't stand when I see grown men engage in drama. If I were steph I would ask to be traded.

Yeah at least in this case. I try not to attach that type of label to a BLACK man because this society is so quick too but
I do agree here.
I also think there are people who help CREATE GOONS. Those are the people that appear innocent and get goon results.
Maybe it applies here...
On a side note I *LOOOVE* BEING BLACK and I think ALL RACES are awesome.

That's why I would ask to be traded because imo as the ultimate leader of that team I personally would try to set an example
(not saying he or they haven't tried) to help keep a positive mood.
When they see Steph and management they should know not to bring that type of attitude around them.
Hell it's just pre-season and not even a playoff hunt.

Absolutely, people are products of their environment and some people are trained that you have to punch out when someone challenges you, but it’s up to the individual to grow past that. Especially when you’re a millionaire sportsman looking for another contract
