I feel bad for Rich Cho and the Bobcats but I wonder if Portland and the Bobcats
could do a deal involving a player +2 for 6&11 for I would agree Drummond would
be too big a gamble for the Bobcats and players like MKG and Robinson would do
little to really improve your team. Portland wants a big and likes Zeller but he's
not going to be there at 11 and he's a big reach at 6 which is why a trade with
the Bobcats makes the most sense if Drummond is the best center in the draft.

yeah we've been talking about this for weeks. 6 and 11 aren't exactly a gold mine, though. I think I'd want portland to remove protections on their pick to us for next year as well at least.

If we took the protection off in this deal, would you be willing to send back a top 5 protected next year?

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!

Just because you fleeced the Nets...............

I disagree, even the Drummond supporters agree that Drummond is a terrible player right now. He just might be a good player one day if he learns how to play basketball

Barnes at 6 seems reasonable, 11 we take Henson or PJ3.

Replace Henson with Sullinger and I'm down.

PJIII might be a nice pairing with Biz - and he has big upside.

I'd rather have Lamb at the 6 and one of Harkless/Leonard/Sullinger at the 11 than Beal or Gilchrist at the 2. If we stay 2, we have to take Robinson... unless he measures too short at the combine

not having seen any workout footage or interviews I'll rank em...

1. Drummond
2. MKG
3. Beal
4. Robinson

but I'm so close on all them that a single sentence in one of the media interviews at our workouts could put any of them in first.

and theres definitely the aspect of me being so focused on hitting a home run on this draft that im not thinking clearly and refuse to take the safe pick. I NEED A HOMERUN

I still think if I stay at 2 and I'm Cho I'm looking at Thomas Robinson first and then Bradley Beal. I don't think Drummond or MKG should be in the equation. I really like Henderson, but most stars in this league are wing players and outside of Davis, Beal is probably the closest thing to a potential superstar. Maybe Drummond, but I don't buy the hype. I think Thomas Robinson is the best NBA ready player an allstar type, but Beal has that potential to be a star (lesser so than Davis, obviously) while also coming in at a very high level. I would agree with Slam that Beal NOW might be as good as Hendo NOW, maybe slightly worse, but only slightly. I don't think I could complain too much with either Beal or Robinson and I'm fairly confident in saying that if we stay at 2 it will be one of those guys.

Put me down for Drummond, although I'm pretty certain MKG is the pick....oh well......

the only way I'd do that deal is if one of Beal/MKG/Drummond/Robinson were guaranteed to be there.... and I dont think they will be

to me, those are the consensus top 5 guys, with the next 6 or 7 guys being able to go in any order

I dont get the reason for dropping out of getting one of those top 5 guys.... I dont think the #11 pick makes up the difference

Thing about Beal is that those against him are saying not to draft him because we have Hendo - but I think that most hope that Hendo will become the player that Beal already is (I'm saying that Beal is already better than Hendo with a higher ceiling).

Trade Hendo for another 1st round pick.

Get Beal and Sullinger.

He's 6'3". He doesn't have the hops of a Wade to make up for it either. He does rebound well in college but I'm not sure that translates as well for him. If we draft Beal, I wholeheartedly agree w/ trading Hendo for another 1st rounder.

I think terrible is a stretch. He averaged 2.7 blocks a game so you know he has at least one premium NBA skill. The kid is just uncoached, he had a tumultuous season at UConn with Calhoun in and out with illness and a chucker happy 3 guard lineup. They basically played glorified pick up basketball last year.

I'm thinking Beal then try and trade Hendo and our 2nd for another 1st.

Bonnell said something on FNZ today that turned me off of Beal, it was along the lines of a scout telling him that for the shooting form Beal has, he's not making a lot of deep shots.

well I guess now we shall see what Cho can do.

Draft Beal, trade Hendo (maybe with Dj) for another pick?
Trade down for 2 picks?

Work your magic Cho

I do trust Cho though, he got us a top 10 pick for Stephen Jackson last year.

How did 3 chucker guards affect Drummond though? What would have happened if UConn had a pure point guard? Would they have given it to Drummond in the low post even though he has no moves besides an awful turnaround jumper. The guy has no notable skill on the offensive end you might as play 4 on 5 when he's in the game.

Not sure Hendo plus our 2nd would net us a decent 1st rounder. Maybe a low 1st, but at that point our 2nd is so high what is the point unless we have a guy targeted that won't drop. I just don't think Hendo is a very valuable piece. DJA is our most valuable trade piece i think.

Bonnell goes straight off of stats because hes a friggin moron. Beal has a sweet stroke, but only made roughly 33% of his 3 point shots last year, and he attempted close to 200 of them.

I'm excited about the options at #2. The great thing about Drummond, Beal, and MKG is that they're all still very young and have great upside. Robinson doesn't have the same upside, but even he's a hard worker.

Not gonna overanalyze. It all comes down to the player Cho & Co. think has the most potential.

I think drafting Barnes is the one thing I don't think the franchise can do.....even if they traded down....
