I stand by my opinion on Taylor and still expect him to be a part of a good playoff team some time in the future. His height, ability to defend and hit the three just screams of the possibility that a smart team like the Spurs will pick him up and he'll find himself playing 15mpg for them.

I'm impressed by us finding this guy in the second round and it's bit of a downer that we're not the right team for him. As they say - there aren't role players on bad teams. He shouldn't be on the lottery Bobcats, but I would love to have him whenever we do become competitive.

He should only have to stick around 1 more season then ;);

I like JT. He is a smart well rounded player. Hope he stays with us unless we get something equal in return.

i think this gets to the heart of the issue with taylor at the 3. he's much better served defending laterally on the perimeter than anything against bigger players in the paint. I think he will make a fine rotation 2. i liked that he started hitting the boards and passing a little bit towards the end of the season. i personally think that C+ should be graded on a curve a little bit since he was a 2nd round pick.

He seems bound for the Spurs or Pacers one day.

Hopefully we can sign a decent 2/3 combo forward this offseason, so we can afford for Jeff to play some time in the DLeague. I think he just needs to get confidence in his game and spending the majority of the year in the DLeague would better give us an idea if he can be counted on down the road.

Guys like Danny Green and Alonzo Gee grew enormously by that same route.

When watching Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green fill their roles on the Spurs, hoping CHA can institute similar schemes with Kemba drive and kicks, and believe JT can be a valuable component of such a system. Give every single one of Gordan's minutes to JT.

Problem is that when Jeff is playing passively the entire bench offense is stagnant. Gordon can at least carry the the team for a few minutes by himself offensively. Granted I hate Ben and would love for Taylor to get some more minutes next year if he's willing to just shoot.

Taylor just need some confidence... learn how to make himself available and attack the rim with confidence.

He was a rookie last year!

At 6'7" a 3&D SG? JT got all the tools to be a valuable piece for CHA going forward. Look for improved usage this year and be patient!

i mentioned in another thread that taylor has been getting a lot of praise from the coaching staff this summer. he is working on his corner 3s and shooting off one dribble. also talking about being more aggressive offensively.

Glad to hear it. For some reason Dunlap was opposed to the most efficient 3 pt spot on the floor. The corner 3 should be Taylor's spot.
