Washington and Toronto will try to win and probably even make the playoffs. I guess Milwaukee will as well.

Orlando is clearly setting themselves up for being the worst team ever next season. They'll be much worse than us.

Seattle, who knows. The new ownership could bring in a good coach and GM and try to win next season. But they'll probably be bottom 5.

Atlanta, Detroit and Portland will still be too good to tank but not good enough to make the playoffs. Those are your 9th, 10th, and 11th teams in the lottery.

The bottom 5 next year will probably be

1. Orlando
2. Charlotte
3. New Orleans
4. Phoenix
5. Seattle

As long as we get a top 2 pick, we are set

The only teams that are a real threat to tank next year are Phoenix, Orlando, NOLA, Sacreattle, and us. Phoenix has a little too much talent to be the worst, as does New Orleans. I would think even DMC and some of their talent would be enough to get them out of the worst position. We really just need to outtank Orlando. Honestly I am happy with any of the top 3 picks, Wiggins/Parker/Randle but the clear prize is Wiggy right now.

I'm not worried about being too good. We are already too talented to be the bottom team in the league, we've just been blatantly tanking since the 7-5 start. Kemba could turn into Kyrie Irving and MKG could turn into prime Shawn Marion next season, and we'd still finish with 20 wins on the season (thx Tanklap!).

I think we will finish bottom 5 next year and draft 1-3 which is where we want to be. That DET pick could allow us to trade up for the #1 pick should we fall out of the top 3. I'm dreaming but I hope for McLemore followed by Wiggins.

1. Bobcats
2. Magic
3. Suns
4. Wiz
5. Cavs

Honorable mention

Hornets
Pistons - they're vulnerable if Drummond's back issues plague him or if Monroe gets injured.

We'd have to pay through the nose to get anybody to give up the #1 pick that year.

I'm just as curious to see what the Pistons do this summer as the Bobcats. No surprise, putting so little protection on that first is looking like a serious miscalculation. Not even Higgins was dumb enough to do that.
Humble yourself.

That pick has the potential to be incredible.

One guy we should keep an eye on this summer: Daniel Orton (scored 4 pts/4 rbs in 9 mins for OKC last night)

He can do alot of the things Enes Kanter does, at a fraction of the cost. He's 6'10 255 and still only 22. Earns less than $1 mln? I watched him play very effectively in the D League (with Jeremy Lamb), limited laterally but otherwise can really play. Good hands. Needs opportunity. We need a Space-eater. Would be a good piece.

^ Wouldn't mind giving him a shot, but he is injury-prone. Missed the first year and a half of his career.

It would've been a great pickup if we dealt one of Sessions or Gordon during the trade deadline but with our crowded backcourt Selby would only be reserved to the same inactive list as the previous two teams. However I do wonder how a player as talented as he is can't get any playing time.

If we're going to go after a player that can score at a backcourt spot I would prefer us to try Chris Douglas-Roberts whom I believe is good enough to protect our interest in case we aren't able to retain Hendo this offseason.

Exactly, give Selby all of Gordon's minutes and play JT as strickly backup SF.

Selby is better than Gordon already I reckon, he is not just a shooter but a scorer and is a decent choice for backup SG while we see how the Hendo/Gordon situations play out, he can also handle the ball without losing it off his foot.

If we pick him up of the waiver wire I believe we take him on his current contract, options included?

Gordon as of now is salary and trade fodder, stuff catering to this guys ego when he plays no part of our longterm future, I would rather activate Diop and play him at SG then let this guy get his way.

Why not take a minimal risk for a guy who has legitimate talent, this will cost us nothing.

I thought Selby was going to be a 1st round pick a couple years ago. I am shocked he's not done anything yet. We should act. Seriously, anybody to take Gordon's minutes, although if that "someone" is MKG, that'd be nice.

Exactly though I think the added benefit of having Selby as backup SG and third string PG whould push Taylor to be exclusive backup SF and basically the only competition with MKG for minutes.

Unless someone offers of something nice for Gordons expiring next year I say we just keep him and let him expire next season. We have substantial salary room this year, and next year his salary alone would give us substantial room. Two seasons in a row with a nice amount of room for a solid FA signing or two on top of what will inevitably be two straight top 5 picks is what this team needs.

Which idiot is going to sign with us?

If there's someone who wants to be with this franchise of all teams, I don't even want him.

Sounds like the perfect slow rebuild to me.

So we don't even want Sessions now?
