Hes a 24 year old big in his 2nd season of decent minutes. His numbers are not great, but a QO isn't signing him to a 5 year contract. A QO can literally be a 1 year contract. Charlotte is that thin up front.
Diop WILL NOT/SHOULD NOT be resigned, Tyrus should get amnestied (the Bobcats have had him for 3 1/2 seasons...its not happening).

Assuming we amnesty Thomas, the Bobcats will only have Biyombo and Haywood under contract for next season. People sometimes act as if Mullens is bad as Brezec was before the Bobcats traded him. You want bad, he sucked for those last 20 some games.

I don't know if McRoberts is that good or if everyone else is just that bad.

What I like about McBob is that he is fundamentally sound on defense. It's been a big help for Biz playing alongside him b/c Josh actually boxes people out and he doesn't clog the paint on offense.

i've been seeing a lot of new nicknames for mcroberts since the name change announcement, such as mchornet and mchugo. i'd like to suggest we go with either mcbug or mcbuzz.

I think McBob should stay... It still makes sense, because Bob is short for Robert... that is why I initially started calling him that on the board...

I really want us to re-sign McBob(cat)/Hornet, but if for some reason we can't my next choice for him would be Denver: Josh McNugget.

Decisions, Decisions - Odds of Bobcats Bringing Back...

Josh McRoberts: McRob came over from Orlando for Hakim Warrick and did nothing but ball out for 26 games — 9.3 PPG (50.5% FG), 7.2 RPG & 2.7 APG. McRob can really see the floor well for a big man and on top of that is a great passer. That’s probably the most refreshing skill he brought to Charlotte. Not only does he have above average athletic ability for his 6’10 frame, but he proved to be a high IQ player who can create offense by passing and shooting.

Not sure that he’s been an unselfish player for his entire 5-year career in the league, but he’s morphed into one + has passing abilities that remind you of a guy like Boris Diaw. McRoberts is going to be cheap + has proved to be solid role player. 2 years/$5mil isn’t outrageous.

– 75% probability McRoberts signs a new contract with Charlotte.

2/10 sounds more realistic, though.

McRoberts really played well for us. I was impressed that he was able to carve out a role given how late in the season we picked him up. I think he starts for us next year (unless we pick someone up), or at the very least he has a major role off the bench

I see more 2 for 7 happening. I'd be content with that.

3/12 would be perfect though I'd easily go 4/16.

4m for a team player, fundamentally sound big is great value.
