NOP has no choice but to tank. I get the feeling they'll trade EG for an expiring (buyer's remorse). I swear if they come into next season with Davis/Anderson/Wiggins/Evans/Holiday, that's a serious playoff team.

How serious of a playoff team? #3-5 seed serious or #6-8 seed serious? Personally, I think they'd still miss the playoffs with that lineup, but they'll have a bright future 3-5 years later similarly to how the Blazers are having now

Re: Around the NBA 4.0
Philly could be devastating next year. They could pick 1-5 and then 6-10 and then they get back Noel next year. And you know they're going to flip Young and Turner for more assets.
They could have MCW + Wiggins/Parker/Randle + Aaron Gordon + Noel + whatever they get for Young + whatever they get for Turner.
They could be the best young team in the NBA.

Two of the best moves we've made as a franchise since drafting Allen Iverson #1 overall was trading away Andre Iguodala instead of extending him to another long term contract & taking advantage of how overrated Jrue Holiday was after being voted into the All-Star game by dealing him for future assets in the strongest draft class since 2003. We got rid of the mediocrity

Michael Carter-Williams, ShotScore per 100 shots: -17
Like Oladipo, the Sixers' Michael Carter-Williams is another very strong rookie performer who is having trouble scoring. In fact, though he is currently the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award, Carter-Williams is having a very tough debut season as a shooter overall.
After a promising start, his efficiency numbers have plummeted. He has made less than a third of his shots outside of eight feet, and has been particularly bad from the top of the arc, where other point guards like Damian Lillard and Jose Calderon excel. More than any other team in the league, the Sixers should go out and find the best shooting coach in the world. Carter-Williams, Wroten, and Nerlens Noel are each potential stars, but their inability to shoot stands in their way.
Does Chip Engelland like cheesesteaks? Sam Hinkie should find out; Brett Brown should already know.

Anybody interested in a MCW for Kemba Walker & Bismack Biyombo trade?

It's hard to properly rate rookies who put up spectacular performances on bad teams. I'm not saying that MCW might likely go this route, but there are plenty of guys who had their best years as rookies on bad teams.

I was disappointed when the Sixers had to draft MCW because I wanted Burke to fall to us after we made the trade for Noel & the 1st rounder with the Pelicans. Now that he's showing value & looking as good as Jrue Holiday did for us, I wouldn't mind seeing Hinkie trade MCW while his stock is high similarly to how he did Holiday. It's too soon, but MCW is reverting back into the player I feared that we were drafting after the hot start

Re: Around the NBA 4.0
That's a tough one. I genuinely believe that Biz has come to the point where he would average 10-plus rebounds and anchor a top-10 defense with starter's minutes (say, 32). And Kemba is our best player.
But... MCW is a 6'6", 41-inch jumping point guard, doing things that John Wall and Russell Westbrook did as rookies. I wasn't a fan of his at all before the draft, but he has far and away more star potential than anyone we have ever had.
I vote "yes."

If you’re looking for other bricklayers around the league, here are some other guys to watch: Rubio, Ramon Sessions, Cody Zeller, Jeff Teague, Brandon Jennings, and Jeff Taylor, who may actually be the worst shooter in the NBA right now.

Glen Rice Jr. 2.0...and for those fellow UNC fans that are ready to attack, it's not a insult. I'm referring to the path

As long as I wanted the only person that noticed Jeff Taylor being one of the worst players in the NBA before the injury. Thanks Zach Lowe

Hell no. MCW is overrated. He had a nice sprint to start but the NBA season is a marathon and he's falling off. Looking like every bit of the player that made him fall in the lottery of a weak draft class.

Re: Around the NBA 4.0
We didn't do all this tanking and whatnot the last couple years to end up with MCW, MKG, Zeller, and the 8th-10th pick in next year's draft (yes, we'd be worse off this year with MCW)

Does Kemba, MKG, Zeller and Biz really sound that much better to you? And I wouldn't be disappointed at all with keeping our pick this draft.
MCW just had a career-high 33 in his last game.
Humble yourself.

Hinkie will capitalize on MCW's hype before it's too late. If not this year, then next year. He's the brain child behind Morey

Re: Around the NBA 4.0
I hope the Pistons hold onto Monroe past the deadline so that pick can stay glorious. They would be so much better if they let Smith play his rightful position at PF next to Drummond and surround them with shooters.
