Lol. You serious?

And im wondering if youve actually seen them play? No way in hell you can say those two are as good as Zeller offensively. Its so laughable im not going to comment on it anymore. Biyombo can dunk. Thats it. MKG cant shoot. Cant drive and finish. Cant shoot FTs.

Ok. Im done. Since the ASB Zeller has been waaaaay better than either. MKG has actually regressed.

This is not a plausible response. No numbers will back that Zeller is better offensively than MKG & Biyombo combined, and if we're going by the eye test, Zeller don't score many ways but garbage baskets as in assisted dunks and putbacks. Zeller has been effective, but he has a long way to go to be considered a offensive threat

I think the thing with Zeller is that he seems so close to putting it all together. His jumper isn't falling but he has good form and has learned when not to.shoot. For whatever reason, he has become much more effective at finishing and/or drawing fouls around the basket. He even made a nice little pull up J last night. I love BB AND MKG but neither of them seem to be anywhere near where getting it like Cody hopefully is. It isn't that difficult right now to see Cody average 15pts a game within the next year or two whereas we would all fall to our knees thanking Jesus if MKG got to that point in the same time frame, or ever, for that matter.

I don't know about way better but he has been slightly better. The argument could be made that this is because they traded the guy who should have been playing over him the whole time. If Adrien was still here Zeller should only be getting scrap minutes. Also if you only look at offense it slants the whole opinion. I would argue that inside Biz is a much more effective all around player than Zeller at this point and MKG should play a lot more. MKG actually has a positive difference in point totals while on the court where Zeller has a negative like Biz.

Cody Zeller is adding a element alongside Al Jefferson that we haven't seen from Josh McRoberts consistently all season, and that's being a rebounder, hustler, & showing resemblance of a help defender from a big in the paint. That's his effectiveness, and it's been helpful. Charlotte isn't going to beat these team in the trenches without grit, and being that both Jefferson & McRoberts have been mostly finesse, Zeller is providing that and I greatly appreciate it as a fan

Agree, and I will add my vote for Cody staying in the starting rotation when McBob returns. Why not get these qualities out of him early in games? I doubt it happens as coach will want spacing and McB's passing. Give me what Cody is bringing now.

Effectiveness and matchup will decide minutes.

Also, to the earlier discussion, Cody is doing what few rookies do....improve late in their first season. He is way ahead of Hyphen and Biz on this.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

They recognized me at Jason's Deli so they offered me free ice cream. Then I got to the machine and it said FREE ICE CREAM. Very humbling...

Zeller is so easy to root for. Thank god he's showing signs of life on the basketball court.

Wait...people seriously contend that Biz has a more refined, effective offensive game than Zeller? I literally cannot believe that is the case.

Arguably Biz is a better finisher around the rim. That is the only thing he has over Zeller, and even that is somewhat negated by his terrible FT%.

Especially considering Biz can barely catch the ball.

In relative skill and value, Cody has passed Biz already. Cody added effectiveness and solved some puzzles this year. He's got much more to do, but he has shown great progress. Both Biz and Hyphen have struggled to gain significant ground since their start, and they've had longer to do so (particularly Biz). Doesn't mean they can't take a jump...my point is that Cody IS taking some clear steps, before the end of his rookie year.

Nah, Biz is better than Zeller. Biz's only major downfall is playing behind Al.
