Question asked in the comments - "Will you be backing up Kemba or doing more shooting guard? Hornets could use both I think."

They want me at both the 1 and the 2, as well as running lots of pick and rolls. Great fit and opportunity!!

this guy is the anti-Lance. He's going to be a great player to have in the locker room and he'll accept his role.

I agree. Lookin from the outside in it looks like this team should have great chemistry. A bunch of high character guys. Only one Im not to sure about is Batum because he came from a playoff team but after he sees how bad the Blazers will be this year he will be happy he came here.

I can't see how anyone could possibly not like this. He's going to be great as the primary back-up ball-handler and even a spot starter to give Kemba some rest so we don't run him into the ground like last season. And we got him for an absolute bargain at 4 mil. With the contracts being thrown at players this offseason, I didn't think he'd sign for anything less than 7.

Very excited. This team has formed very nicely, and I can't wait for this season to get going. We added shooting and playmaking to ever position, got rid of our major headache, and we're looking very good. Wouldn't mind one more wing to help us round out SF, but if that doesn't happen, oh well.

Could be great!

We also have Kemba +Lamb. They compliment each other perfectly.

Agree. You also have Batum, who can space the floor, make plays, and defend. Wow. You know, I'm getting cautiously excited for the Hornets.

By the way, speakng of defense, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by Lin. He's actually pretty decent there, if the help comes on the pick and rolls.

I absolutely love this signing. I may hate this front office at times but Jeremy Lin is a great fit here.

If the Jordan brand signs him, Lin + Jordan brand in mainland China and Taiwan = $$$. Win-win for both MJ and JLin.

Lin is a solid deender....constant effort BUT struggles fighting through screens......on offense he's excellent...he can score, he can assist...hes unselfish and he's a team guy.....at 4 million the Hornets STOLE HIM. But Lin wants a good situation where he can handle the rock and Im guessing that was a huge part of the discussion before he committed.....

Slick Rick is saying he is getting the MLE. That is still a bargain but I will be curious to see what it ends up being.

Boy Bonnell better hope hes right, because if you go against Woj's word you better have it right.

fatlever wrote:Wow. I did not see this coming. Thought for sure he was headed to Dallas. I wonder if the Jordan situation changed his destination. He has the size to play next to Kemba at times. Gives us insurance in case Kemba gets hurt or struggles. Great in the pick and roll, which should do wonders for Frank on the second unit. Solid 3pt shooter. And brings us an ton of new fans from Asia.

For sure! A lot of casual Filipino NBA fans followed Linsanity in New York, Houston, and LA Lakers.

It is his guess but he is stating it like a fact. He says it was the only way he would commit early.

Lin fan here and new Hornets fan. Glad to see that you guys are welcoming him with open arms!

I am still shell-shocked tbh, but if Lin believes it's the best decision for him who are we to say that it's not? I wish him the best of luck and hope he helps develop the young Hornets quickly!

Like to add that I'm almost excited as Lin to hear that he has a coach that believes in him again. Speaks volumes to what he's been through the past 3 seasons.
