We are already braindead according to Bill Simmons for taking Miller over Scoot

Keep in mind, Simmons was crying about trading Fultz for Tatum 6 years ago.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

What's up y'all? I don't keep up with basketball anymore but I hope this guy doesn't suck too bad for y'all's sake. You guys deserve some good fortune for sticking with this tire fire of an organization.

I think Black is a better pick than the Thompson twins, who took the easy option through the OTE. Black will be a great player IMO.

So, instead, I'll just hope they never move up in the draft again, to save themselves the embarrassment.

Remember when you got mad at me a few years ago for being pessimistic? lmao

I think passing on Scoot Henderson and calling the team monumentally stupid isn't pessimistic. It's realistic.

You seem pretty confident in your opinion, are you going to come back and eat crow if you're wrong?

Well, I was a Miller guy up until yesterday when I pivoted toward Scoot. Knew I’d be happy with either one. And really folks, THAT is the key right now to this pick. No matter who you leaned toward, we got a great talent in Miller, and would have had the same with Scoot. Nobody knows how this is going to work out. But I DO think Mitch and company made FIT a key component of the decision. It’s why they reportedly said any deal for #2 would have to include Ingram. They wanted shooting, a scorer, size and high potential from that SF spot. Miles and PJ will hold down the 4, and hopefully they will be able to trade Rozier tonight to move up from 27.

Very happy Hornets fan.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Pretty sure he also hated Boston trading washed up KG, washed up PP and washed up Jason Terry to the Nets for the pick trove as well.

Maybe Orlando can finally kick MCW to the curb.

I think this team has broken quite a few of our longtime posters, and I don't blame them one bit. Me? I guess I'm a masochist

Anthony Black looks like a 12yo version of that dude from the LMFAO duo. Even looked like he had on his grandpa's bell bottoms

Plenty of people could not shoot as a rookie, Paul George shot 27% from three as a rookie, like none of these kids are final products. y’all get hung up on where they are right now like it’s all they can ever be

Agreed but that goes both ways, no? Miller is a great shooter, poor finisher around the rim but improved on that as the season went along tremendously. He wants to play defense as well.

I assume we all think Miller is a finished product and can only shoot? Not sure.

Yes both will improve, but when i look for improvement, i tend to go for younger players...

Scoot : 18
Miller : 20

Scooter had the advantage without having to put some muscle. Which Miller will have to do. And we putting some muscles can screw up your shooting form.

Every time I tune back in to this team it's a face palm. I just about fell out of my chair laughing when we brought Clifford back. Cheers.

Hey I would have picked Scoot, but I also would have picked Bouknight over Franz Wagner. I'm not super pumped from tonight's results so far, but I'll trust the process.

Maybe Gradey's jacket will fall out the sky and land on us. I'd rather that than his last name
UPDATED `10-22-2025

These are who I want with our picks in order

THEM - Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen

UNCNYC - Arthur Agee, William Gates

Exactly, and look at Scoot's shooting form.
It's almost perfect, and he already got all the muscles to work on his shoot.
+ he's 2 years YOUNGER than miller...

OK let it go dude they drafted Miller. It's tiring at this stage after months of Millerites and Scootettes stanning here and all over socials.

I slightly wanted Scoot more too but everyone on these boards already knows everything about these guys, down to what toothpaste they use at this stage. We don't need any more explanation as to why one is better than the other. I feel like we all know them both better than their parents do at this stage.

Also he is not 2 years older, he is 1 year and 2 months older. Don't spread misinformation please.

Wow Bilal at 7 is a bit of a reach right? Massive rise for him from a few months ago. I'm pretty sure he was barely mocked as a first rounder a few months ago.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
