I'm already sold on this dude.

He had the youngsters out there playing defense and they all had energy. Clifford could never bring that out. This team needed a younger voice. He has them locked in.

If we can stay healthy we have the talent to make a playoff push this season.

Clifford harped on about defense but couldn’t get them to play it like Charles does

Glad to know we're beating the Celtics at something now.

Heat stans with a good take on what worked and what didn't for both teams last game. I know it's out of necessity but maybe playing Tre and Seth together isn't a good idea in the long run. Hope getting B-Mill and Josh back fixes things.

I'm not gonna overly praise him based on what I've seen so far. our offense looks rather anemic outside of LaMelos scoring brilliance and I have 0 faith right now that the team would be anything less than a complete and utter dumpster fire the moment he goes down.

The inbounding problems a puzzling one that we've always attributed in the past to poor coaching, so not sure why we'd change the standard now. Though in the past with JB and Cliff there was just a resounding lack of creativity where we'd never get a good shot off a low clock inbound, not being able to get the ball in at all is really bad. four or five times or whatever it was would be hard to believe if i didnt see it myself.

I feel like I'm just gonna be forever confused how the best this teams role players have looked in years was the days immediately following a trade last year where they didn't know anything about our team or staff.

anyway, he's done some good stuff, I guess. LaMelo seems unlocked, we'll see if it holds up or if he's going to break his favorite toy playing with it too much. as always, we'll kick the can on casting full judgement "until we've seen what he looks like with the healthy lineup" as if that is something that will ever happen

The offense will always look anemic when you're asking either Tre Mann or Miles Bridges to play with 4 other players that can't create their own shot to save their lives. No coach is getting a decent offense out of a Micic/Mann/Martin/Williams/Diabate lineup or whatever our bench unit is supposed to be right now. As long as Miller is out, we need Bridges to be playing the minutes Melo doesn't, and play like his 2020-22 self in those situations.

Our current team with Miller+Mark out is remarkably similar to the Kemba era teams where one guy really has to do everything, and everyone else is a role player. Bridges needs to be more than just another guy, and he really hasn't stepped up except for the Hawks game.

Considering we aren't playing a starting center and have had 11 mins or so of action from the second best player, I think the team looks much improved.

I get seeing Nick here, but a guard like Tre? A total 180 from Clifford's principles (ignore the offensive glass [unless you're MKG] and get your ass back on transition D) and maybe the same can be said for the results. At least going by Hornets twitter:

"Miami should be down, but easy transition buckets have kept them afloat."
"The Hawks turned a staggering 56.2% of their live rebounds into a transition opportunity vs the Hornets last night."
"Very little effort to stop Toronto's transition runs."

Yeah, tough to ignore that 29th DRTG ranking and that 1st ORB ranking.

So what does this mean? Schemes are sound overall, it's just bonehead plays that do us in?

30th in DRB% is the big killer. Giving up multiple shots on the same trip down the floor will sink any defense.

WTH how is that possible when we're also #1 grabbing o-boards? So we're Superman on one end and Clark Kent on the other?
