He's going to get suspended for putting hands on that man. Honestly I think it shouldn't be anything more than a big fine for the head butt and head grab because suspending him will ruin their chances to avoid letting the Bulls tie the series 2-2.

These NBA Playoffs so far has put put March Madness to shame. So much drama, chokes, big shots, edge of your seat action.

The NCAA tournament will always be way better than the NBA playoffs for the mere fact that its one and done, and the emotions of seeing Senior players' dreams crash before their eyes is incredible.

Of course as a whole but so far these playoffs have been great.

With the exception of our end, I agree.

Nene almost murdered Jimmy

Correction. Nene gave Jimmy Butler the powers that be when he rubbed foreheads before grabbing his temple, because Butler was 0-for-7 from the 3-point line in the series until that point. After the altercation, Butler went on to nail two game-changing 3-pointers to help the Bulls escape with the win

Reffing is atrocious across the board. Its a shame the NBA is more entertainment than sport because of money and agendas. The refs in this Portland game (Crawford in general) are trying to act all big like they decide the game, not the players.

we should've kept Troy Daniels, he hasn't played in the NBA much (5 games) but he is averaging 8.4 pts on 48% shooting (from 3pt range also) in 15 minutes

Not necessarily, but I am trying to say that Nene helped change the course of the game for the betterment of the opposing team when he lost his temper. Now, he may be suspended for the next game, allowing the Bulls to tie the series 2-2 in his absence

am I missing something?

that looked reasonably mild to me. Deserved to be ejected, but shouldn't get suspended.

It wasn't really a headbutt like a strike, more just pressing his head against the other dudes trying to intimidate him.
Then grabs him by the back of the neck.

big deal.

This is probably overreacting....but Daniels just made me feel even worse about the Neal-Sess trade we had Gary Neal 2.0 on the Summer League roster the whole time :(

I was just thinking this very same thing. At least they should've allowed Daniels to stay on the season opening roster instead of Southerland

Morey is a genius for creating that sharpshooting D-League team.

Yes, another example of how the smart teams have built themselves an advantage by owning their own D League team. Daniels averaged 12 3 pt shots a game in the D League. He's now a seasoned 3 pt shooter and a valuable asset. If we'd kept him he would have suffered the same fate as Southerland (who I also wish we could have kept btw). The Cats made an obvious choice to go for wins by favoring veterans over youth. Great for the short term win column. Long term development, not so much. Meanwhile, teams like Houston have their own minor league team where they can stash and develop young players. Frustrating.

Every team in the NBA should have its own D League affiliate or the playing field isn't level, not fair.
