Re: Miles High: The Miles Bridges Thread
This off-season, it may be time to SELL HIGH on Miles, given his judgement is seriously flawed. How do these guys even register enough of a score to be accepted into college? Constantly thinking with the wrong head.

Re: Miles High: The Miles Bridges Thread
I don't think NBA players having multiple kids with multiple women is anything new is it? Hell for any sport that isn't something new.
Scottie Pippen has 7 kids with 4 different women.
Dwight Howard has 5 kids with 5 different women.
Shawn Kemp is rumored to have fathered at least seven kids with at least six different women.
Juwan Howard reportedly has six kids with four different women
Larry Johnson has five kids with four different women.
Probably 100 more examples of this.

I don’t care who he knocks up. I care about him playing well. If anything it’ll give him incentive to play well for child support

If these were just two random chicks that he got pregnant at the same time nobody would care. The fact that he got THAT chick pregnant again... after all that's come out in the past 3 years.... it just shows how damaged that relationship is. The fact that both girls that are pregnant, also recently got into a fight to the point that there were charges filed. And the other girl that's pregnant is the same one that was throwing billiard balls at her car with miles and that led to charges.
All I'm saying, it's a very toxic situation so none of us should be surprised when this blows up again and police are involved again.

I only care to the point that he's put himself in a situation that could get him arrested again. There's no way that's a healthy relationship between all three of them. I don't want to pay him 30 million a year again for him to be suspended or worse, in jail. We wasted three Summers because of this nonsense.Liver_Pooty wrote:I don’t care who he knocks up. Yeah I don't doubt it. Just think this stuff probably happens a lot more than we know about it. I doubt all 5 baby mommas with Dwight Howard are Georgia peaches and get along. I wish everyone was Steph Curry or LeBron when it came to this, but sadly it just is what it is. Hell Mavs traded Luka because they thought he drank too much beer and didn't run at a high enough incline on the treadmill. My guess is 90% of NBA players have pretty big warts and every NBA team is probably living on some sort of edge.
Miles just has the microscope on him a bit closer due to previous issues, same with Zion.
Pretty sure Ant Man has some baby mama drama going on now too.

doesnt matter much now, the contracts locked in and his trade value is already 0. worse case scenario we end up with more egg on our faces and an even worse basketball team

Re: Miles High: The Miles Bridges Thread
Miles has ended up playing like we hoped he would play after getting a max deal in June of 2022. He will never have a higher trade value than he has right now. Do we want to build around Miles Bridges or leverage this to add different talent to this group. Idk what that does to LaMelo, but it feels like tripling down on Miles is a good way to limit our ceiling.

Re: Miles High: The Miles Bridges Thread
Ignoring the idiotic baby mama drama for a second here...
My thinking on the partnership between Melo and Miles - These guys have been together for 5 years and have essentially done absolutely nothing, Other than some amazing highlights. Sometimes you just have to shake up a roster Get some different voices in, get some different play styles in.
Agreed that his trade value right now is highest it's been since the arrest.
Obviously if we land at number one and draft Flagg, if I'm in the front office I'm immediately moving miles to fill a roster hole somewhere else.
Regardless, if the front office decides they want to continue the tank for another season, Then maybe it would make sense to move miles for some future draft picks. If they decide to try to go all in and win next year come on it could still make sense to try to move him For a player(s) that might fit better around melo/miller.
Trying to run it back with melo/miller/miles/mark As the core of your team next year and expecting something different would be madness in my opinion.

Re: Miles High: The Miles Bridges Thread
I like how y'all assumed the rumor is true. Can we at least wait to see if the other baby is his?
Also what does having sex have to do with basketball?
These guys are millionaires women throw themselves at them daily. It's hard to say what we would or wouldn't do in that situation.
Miles has been our MVP this year and that's all I care about.

Re: Miles High: The Miles Bridges Thread
I think Miles has a decent trade value going forward as his production outstrips the pay over the next 2 years. But, I am fine with keeping him as long as he doesn't let his personal life become a public safety issue again. If we do get flagg though, he could be shipped out as their skill sets and best positions are likely both at the bigger F spot.

Well I did preface my original post with the tweet with the starting phrase " If this is true.." So yes obviously we're working under hypotheticals here that may or may not be true. I will say though, the account that posted that has been on the money related to a lot of things about miles. So much of what we talk about here is hypothetical so I think that should be kind of understood.

Check out miles making obvious improvements in his defense last year.
