Low turnovers is better than decent efficiency. Either I'm learning something new today or somebody's insulting my intelligence.

Low turnovers and good ball movement contribute to offensive efficiency.

Low turnovers aren't better or worse than efficiency because it's the same thing. Efficiency is really about team points per possession on both ends. Turnovers and foul differentials are't sexy topics but it's hard to be efficient w/o the ball and an opponent free throw parade.

Now I understand why Mason Plumlee is such a elite player. Because he has a elite assist to turnover rate for bigs AND he's efficient.

Instead of strawmanning like this, why don't you actually try to make the argument that turning the ball over does not hurt offensive efficiency. Would be interested to read that analysis.
Doesn't seem like this concept should be all that controversial.

I'm totally buying into the concept. I'm not trolling at all. It make sense. Turning the ball over is worst than missing a shot but equivalent in the fact that you loss a opportunity to score a basket.
So now I'm learning that it doesn't mater if you're shooting sub 40% as long as you can counter it with a low turnover rate and a couple assist per game you'll still be as effective as a player shooting almost 50%.

I would like to actually talk with you and explore these concepts, but it's impossible when you start posting like this. I'll stop because that seems to be your goal here.

Ha - you're just begging for Kaminsky to shine with a +/- expected adjustment. Plumlee deserves credit for the spike but it's a little artificially inflated from role and lineup construction.

Whatever Portland is doing with Plumlee we should consider doing it with Frank to get his efficiency up. My God, Plumlee is a elite passer and his usage rate isn't too sheepish at 18%. This newfound AST/TO concept for me is really expanding my horizons on how I look at basketball.

Come on Catch... We don't need to go down this road again with the trolling stuff. We all know the game by now.

You gotta admit, Plumlee has been passing very well this season, currently averaging over 4 assist. Plus he's shooting high percentages.

Re: Geometry: The Frank Kaminsky Thread
Plumlee was passing great last season at the end as well. He's pretty good in that similar role to what Zeller does, set the screen, catch ball at FT line, dive to rim for dunk or pass out to shooters. He averaged 4.8 apg in the playoffs last year.

Yeah Mason is an underrated passer. Not really much good outside of that, but he passes well.

He is a purported shooter who can't shoot ,his best skill set is driving and he isn't even a good finisher. Weird hill to die on claiming frank can be excellent when he never was excellent over a period of time, not just one game.
And he's clearly the best stretch 4 we've drafted recently... *Sigh*

Re: Geometry: The Frank Kaminsky Thread
Nikola Mirotic is playing similar to Frank so far this season. Hoiberg decided to bench him DNP-CD style.

Mirotic doesn't do anything well. Frank passes very well for a big man and keeps the offense moving. He also is decent on defense.
Frank just can't hit a shot and is playing poor in the post.
