Thank you very much. I'll take that as a compliment. I just would like to read a logical response to the numbers 'BizGilwalker' posted about Biyombo. I've been stating that his progress as a rebounder on top of his shot blocking has made him at least a fringe starter since last season while others have disagreed and labeled him a bust

I'm not arrogant. I prefer the term pretentious with a creative mind since I break it down an art

He may be but he is right in this case. All the numbers at the beginning of the season said we were doing better on both ends with Biz on the court. People argued it was backups and other things. Now he is a starter and we are better on both ends of the floor. Average more points per game and give up less points per game. Everyone has looked better since he moved into the starting lineup because he is willing to just do what he does well and get out of the way if it is what is needed.

I am admittedly a huge Biz homer, but I liked this article. He's had a strong last few games but I think honestly he's been pretty effective most of the season. I think he is even now a serviceable starter and could be exceptional in the future. The guy is clearly pretty smart, and dedicated to improving himself, as a player and as a person!

Don't know if anyone remembers me from years past, but I used to lurk in this topic because I was such a huge Biyombo fan. I kind of stopped coming here because he was only getting minimal minutes last year, and just the vibe around him seemed to almost implicate that he's run his course. Was kind of sad about that because he seemed to do so well with the minutes he was given.

I'm really happy to see him succeed though and taking advantage of the opportunity that's been given to him. He has the most likable personality in the NBA and I hope he continues to improve and realize his potential as one of the best defenders in the NBA (advanced metrics indicate he's already there, but it would be great if he could do that for a whole season with starter minutes).

Brace yourselfs. Biz might be included in this upcoming trade. His value has improved.

Biz didn't just become a good player this year, he is just getting more chances to show it right now. We all know that the recent play of Kemba is partly due to open lanes and the screen and role game with Biz. Defense and rebounding has given more fastbreak chances which are easier chances. I noticed this the last couple years with Ramon Sessions playing with Biz. Sessions never has success in other places like he did here. Biz is really good at playing this style of basketball

I remember a game that I was at vs the Bucks near the end of 12/13 and Biz had 13 points and 17 boards and it seems like the next game he had a double double as well against the Knicks I think but I have never seen him have back to back games like the last two.

good stuff in that vantage sports article. i want more people to talk about Jefferson and his reluctance to set proper screens. perhaps if everyone is talking about it, something will finally be done about it. its disgusting. i set better screens than Jefferson and i am the size of Earl Boykins.

I've generally been an Al advocate, but I've got nothing there. It is lazy and selfish.

“I thought he was a monster,” Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. “He’s so strong, so athletic, so young. We just didn’t have anybody. We were talking about gang rebounding — it didn’t matter. He was too much of an athlete for us.”

The tip-ins from Biz the last couple of games - that's pretty new from him isn't it? - and represents a level of "touch" he hadn't previously shown. - That tap-in in OT v. IND last night was so sweet! Would love to see a video montage of all the recent tip-ins if anybody's able . . .

At the very least, Clifford needs to give Biz and Al a chance to play together if he insists on playing Al major minutes.

The weirdest thing is that he hasn't even tried it yet. For all we know it might create our best frontcourt lineup. Hell he tried Neal at PG and SF but can't try neither of Biz or Al at PF and C on the floor together. If I'm not mistaken both of Biz and Al were drafted as PFs but later were considered best at C.

Al can play PF on offense so the offensive side of the ball isn't that bad, the problem is neither of them can guard the perimeter especially Al and Biz on the perimeter takes away his shot blocking.

Dont see why we cant try it out vs a team that plays 2 paint front court players like the Wizards (Nene and Gortat), neither of them have 3pt range so Al should be able to stay on one of them (probably Nene) so Biz can stay and rim protect.

We've played Nene/Gortat, Monroe/Drummond, ZBo/Gasol, and many other duos like that but never seen Biz/Al.
