I liked Go Bobs effort to get us #10 and a future pick plus Zion, but that’s not nearly enough for me to take on the risk and huge salary. Major pass on Zion.

What if the Pelicans do the Gobert trade and send like 4 1sts and Zion for the #2 and Hayward? I think you have to entertain that.

Yeah but they don't offer that

Lot of folks setting themselves up for disappointment right now

True they’re not gonna offer that. Let’s say they’re offering Zion and 14 and we counter with 4 1sts and Zion. Do we entertain at 2 or 3 1sts? Where is the line drawn.

Woj and the ESPN draft insider both said Charlotte is leaning Brandon Miller even though Scoot had a better workout. Woj after that said go ahead and pencil Charlotte in at #2 taking Brandon Miller.

Seems like Miller will indeed be the pick.

Thoughts?

The most I think I would offer for zion is our 34th pick. I wouldn't do 2nd pick because I would trade that and I wouldn't do 27 because I would use that to pick Durisic.

I think Miller has less bust factor than scoot but I think scoot has a *slightly* higher ceiling *potential* than miller. No way Miller doesn't add something barring injury.

Don't see how so many are so high on a guy kinda undersized who can't shoot and who will be playing more than likely out of his natural position regardless of what position he plays. With that said it doesn't mean he wont succeed, my thing is just I don't see how I can be so high on him and so against the other if not for the PROJECTED #2 pre draft hype

I don't think there is any reason to lose sleep between Miller VS Scoot. I think it's as even as you can get.

Now the sleep I lost when Kobe got traded for Divac was unbearable lmao. I knew Kobe was something special. One of my saddest moments ever

Bro, we all know you would have said Kobe was overrated and would rather trade down and take Moochie Norris and Priest Launderdale instead lol.

Those sound like your tier 1 guys lol

To be fair I don't consider myself a genius at all *if a person wanted to call it that* for obsessing over Kobe.

Kobe was EXTREMELY CONFIDENT, 6'8, could D anything, had jumper potential, lots of athelticism and this was at a time when there wasn't that many players like that so it was an easy pick especially where we were selecting. and he had the IT factor. To me it was a no brainer.

Funny thing was I LOVED VLADE DIVAC because I was a HUGE laker fan and I was SILL upset we traded for him thats how much I loved Kobe.

I remember I rooted against Kobe for a few years and thought maybe he wont turn out so great and then I remember he had one big game and then another right after and then I knew he was here to stay lmao

Me and Jerry West woulda been going at it for Kobe cuz we both saw it in him lol

Who knows where MJ would land!

In the article it says we are still leaning towards Miller.lol

If Scoot impresses MJ in a sitdown could that change the teams thinking? Possibly.

I watched Miller's interviews and he seems like a decent kid as well.

Says we've been rumored to be leaning, isn't reporting that

Did you watch the entire segment today?

If you just watched the clip above that was not the full segment. Woj said at the end Brandon Miller will be the pick.

Woj has a reputation if he says that on Nat'l tv people will question him if we do the exact opposite.

You can look at Hornets draft history - no one ever knows what tf we're going to do. Our FO doesn't share anything with media, never has. No one in the media knows where we're leaning or what we're doing.

Dude, I’m in the camp that we can’t go wrong either way. I was just posting what came up in my Twitter feed. I do think we were strongly in the camp of Miller when we got the number 2 pick. I think Scoot has made the FO think. My only point is I don’t believe a firm decision has been made. If that were the case, MJ wouldn’t be inviting them both back. Long story short, as long as we select one of these guys, we’ll be good.

I have a hard time believing Woj would say that without any idea.

Also if nobody knows what we are doing, why have all the rumors been suggesting we are favoring Miller?

No big deal I apologize if I came off harsh. Just wanted people to know that clip wasn't the entire segment.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
