The way the contract is structured it basically forces Lance to get it together and keep improving. I know we've all said it a million times now, but this was such a masterstroke by our front office. I don't understand how the same people that did the Marvin Williams deal pulled this off though. Someone in our FO must have a serious mancrush on Marvin or owe him a huge favor.

I'm pretty sure Marvin was a panic signing after losing McRoberts, I don't think we were expecting Josh to go elsewhere.

Once they step outside into the streetlight the girl realizes what Al looks like and then sees Kemba doing some sick dance moves outside the club and goes home with him.

The Marvin signing proves how barren the market is for an upgrade at PF and how we must have gained zero traction in trade talks there. Enjoy the next 3 years of teams demanding Vonleh in every single trade discussion. We need an immediate upgrade but we can't overcommit or invest any more assets in the position. So I think Boozer makes sense. Yes he's a bandaid but I don't want to send out additional assets for that position. We have more than enough invested there. The timing is bad, but that's where Boozer comes in.

I would rather have Boozer as well but then what do we do with Marvin? If it was me I would just not play him but I don't know if that is realistic for an NBA franchise to do to someone. Maybe he wouldn't care because he already got paid but idk. That is my only concern.

The Pacers just replaced Stephenson with Rodney Stuckey on a 1-year deal for 'allegedly' the veteran's minimum. That's not bad at all. Stuckey is a better NBA player than Marvin Williams (*rub it in*)

Not saying this just because im a big fan of Zeller, and im definitely not opposed to an upgrade, but I would whoteheartedly rather start Zeller or Williams over Boozer. Boozer is the James Harden of post defense.

Your post somehow reminded just how much I hate Boozer and now I've completely changed my mind. Id definitely rather start Vonleh, Zeller, or Williams. I think I started picturing his stupid bald face and all the hate came rushing back. F that guy lol.

I would start Boozer at PF if he were signed, and use him the same way Thibodeau did in Chicago, whereas I wouldn't play him during critical moments of the game, like the 4th quarter
