the heat winning back to back games on the road to **** the Hornets out of getting an unprotected 2028 pick would be right on brand for this rivalry

Even if they make the playoffs this year, still a chance they miss playoffs in 2027 and it gets moved to 2028 unprotected.

Hopefully Daniels can do the job on Herro.

Trae Young is a damn good player. But he’s not that dude.

Him and Herro might be the starting backcourt in the "Most Punchable Face" team

So much for an unprotected pick. That would’ve been a great trade piece.

The Heat pick is 15 in the 2025 draft and goes to OKC.

Hopefully it's 14 in 2027, so here's to hoping the Heat are just a touch worse in 2 years.

it'll still be solid, but we need them to miss the playoffs in both 2027 and 2028 now. I don't see any reason to believe the Heat will be doing anything else apart from marching in place

The Mavs 2027 1st top-2 protected is looking better than the Heat pick.

Mavs have a huge swath of cap tied in AD & Kyrie who both have health questions.

No prospects.

Few picks for upgrades.

Teams are gonna value both the Heat 1st and Mavs 1st owed Charlotte.

Bundle them together and we should be able to get a really good player who could elevate the team.

That said, did it not look like the Heat imploded hard this year before they just beat teams that imploded harder on their home courts?

I couldn't have been imagining it.

Something like a 10 game losing streak, crashed to 10 seed, yet they just won 2 consecutive loser-go-home games, away no less.

ok, So they didn't quite get wrecked. They were on their way to getting wrecked though. Luckily they took the rookie out and started playing better. I do stand by my statement that I think there's like very very slim chance that heat miss the playoffs next year.

Terry and PJ combined for 0. points tonight. lol
In fact, assuming that Terry stays in the doghouse for the heat in the first round, Every player that the Hornets traded or gave up on in the past few years will combine to score zero points in this year's post season.
Terry, PJ, Hayward, Monk, Richards, Micic, Cody m, Bouknight, Kai, mcgowans, thor, lowry, oubre, plumlee = 0 pts in 2025 postseason

Rozier really fell off a cliff. He had some good games for Charlotte, yeah he's a chucker but it worked out for Hornets some times
