Re: 2025 Draft Prospect Thread
yeah despite measuring short, 8'11 standing reach is great for a wing. It's better than that of a bunch of guys we've started at center over the last decade (looking at you Zeller and Plumlee)
investigate Adam Silver

With the 7th pick your Charlotte Hornets select:
I actually would be pretty stoked if we traded back into the first for him.

You have to do something. You have to make your own luck. You can't play victim. If you don't get the number one or 2 pick you have to make a move this summer get better. I'm not sure this fan base can endure another sub 20 win season with half the roster on the injured list for the last 40 games.
Part of me wishes this front office would trade next year's pick and make it unprotected so they had absolutely no excuses to not to try to win.
After the years of mediocrity I was extremely pro tanking, but the last 3 years have been ridiculous to watch.
Other small franchises in recent times like Minny, Indy, Orlando have shown the formula to pulling yourself out of awfulness and being atleast respectful playoff contenders.
Look, Steph, LeBron, KD are on their way out. Giannis and Jokic are on the other side of 30. OKC is good but not unfaliable. Boston will soon need to weaken their roster for financial reasons
There is no super team on the horizon, unless OKC actually does get Giannis. Atleast over the past decade you had the execuse of not being competive cause no one was getting past the big 3 Heat or KD Warriors. Now with today's parity I don't see any reason a team can't field a competitve roster that can make deep playoff runs.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Bailey will still be close to 6-9, over 7 foot wingspan in shoes and that is still plenty big. I wouldn't let the initial listed measurement freak you out too much. Most of the prospects are coming in 2 inches shorter than their listed height in college barefoot.

Yeah I keep forgetting to add 2 inches to their height with shoes. Maybe I will feel more comfortable when the with shoes measurement are posted.

Every NCAA player whose stats I tracked has their measurement released. Soon after the lottery is done I'll repost the stats list with updated measurements.

Edgecombe and Fleming my favorite players not named Flagg with great measurements! Now we can put to bed the Edgecombe is to small narrative.

Braggins wrote:Really good measurements for Flagg, Harper, Edgecombe, Johnson, and even Fears. My guesses were underestimating a few guys by like a half inch. Baileys measurements were disappointing, but still good in the grand scheme of things (8'11" standing reach is still good for a forward). Knueppels measurements were kinda bad.
Kinda bad is an understatement.

I thought this was another Zeller brother for a second there.

Re: 2025 Draft Prospect Thread
No huge surprises. Bailey a bit shorter, Fears NSJ sized, Queen legit-big, Fleming a create-a-player 4, Maluach likely over 7'2" in shoes.

Seems like very few of the size concerns for this class turned out to be as bad as people thought.

Re: 2025 Draft Prospect Thread
So far I would say just based on measurements
winners are Harper, Tre, Maluach, Sorber, Jaku, Wolf, Demin, Fleming
neutral- Flagg, Bailey, VJ, Fears, Queen, etc...
losers- Jace Richardson, Kon, Newell, Condon
